The special wild boar is a new breed which continues to be popular in the depressed climate of breeding industry in recent years. Its staple food grass, corn stalk, sweet potato and other green feed, the cost is very low, only one third of domestic pigs, and the meat is particularly fresh and mellow, lean meat rate as high as 85%, is a real rest assured meat and green nourishing food, extremely popular in the market, 30-40 yuan per kilogram is still in short supply. A wild boar produces about 20 young a year, which can make a profit of 0.5-0.9 million yuan, and the benefit is more than ten times that of domestic pigs. In addition, due to its long-term survival in nature, its disease resistance and survival rate are stronger than domestic pigs, and breeding is safer. Therefore, breeding wild boar has become the first choice of many investors.

However, in the process of breeding wild boar for many years, we found that some farmers who did not receive formal farm training generally had the following breeding errors:

1. Early weaning

Many farmers in the breeding of wild boar, in order to make its early breeding and early market piglets, artificially early weaning. However, wild boar mammary gland is underdeveloped, milk production is small, milk release time is short, such as premature weaning, it is easy to lead to small piglet individual, weak physique, poor adaptability to environment and gastrointestinal function, easy to appear diseases. According to many years 'feeding observation in Zhaobao Ecological Farm, Yongding County, Fujian Province, it is better to wean wild boar at 45 days.

2. Feed is unreasonable

Wild boar naturally tolerant coarse food, like to eat grass, vegetables, green feed accounted for 70%, eat less, only two meals a day to feed. And some farmers raise wild boar when all feed complete feed, so that wild boar grow too fat, resulting in non-estrus. Although the normal oestrus can be achieved by increasing exercise and limiting feed, the time is generally delayed for several months, which delays time, wastes feed and increases cost.

III. Not paying attention to epidemic prevention

Many farmers do not attach importance to the use of vaccines or mechanically, the use of non-standard, unscientific. Scientific immunization should be based on the local epidemic situation and develop a complete set of immunization procedures.

In addition, some farmers have a weak concept of hygiene and epidemic prevention, farms are allowed to visit at will, and disinfection measures are rarely taken. In fact, disinfection is the simplest, most effective and most fundamental measure to prevent disease. Zhaobao Ecological Farm in Yongding County, Fujian Province is cleaned and disinfected once every five days, and triple disinfection tanks are set up at the gate of the farm, the gate of the production area and the gate of the pigsty. The personnel must be disinfected and changed into work clothes. There has never been an epidemic situation in the past 13 years of operation, which shows the effectiveness of epidemic prevention.

Fourth, do not pay attention to pig house hygiene and environmental disinfection

Pig excreta more, easy to cause bacteria, pathogenic microorganisms breeding, such as keeping pig house hygiene, to minimize the breeding of pathogenic microorganisms, can eliminate the infection of diseases. However, most of the farms at present are poor in sanitation, sewage flow, smelly, mosquitoes and flies, it is reported that a fly can carry 6 million bacteria, easily cause disease epidemic and outbreak, affecting the breeding efficiency.

5. Not paying attention to technical learning and technical training

Although wild boar disease resistance, disease resistance are stronger than domestic pigs, but there are still many basic knowledge must master. At present, some farmers have not received professional training from regular farmers when introducing, resulting in the above-mentioned problems in the breeding process. In addition, in breeding and do not pay attention to technical learning, can not timely observe the mental state of wild boar, feed, drinking water, activities, defecation changes, so that the problems can not be solved in time. Because of the difference of technology and management, its reproduction rate, survival rate, growth speed and economic benefit are also different.

VI. Do not pay attention to pig breed quality

Some introduction households, because of convenience and cheapness, or being cheated by some illegal farmers, introduce some special wild boars containing only 12.5-25% of purebred wild boar blood, whose appearance and quality are almost the same as domestic pigs, and whose disease resistance, coarse feed tolerance, lean meat percentage, nutritional components and other aspects are poor. How can this achieve good benefits?
