Vegetables can be grown on a single sheet of plain A4 paper, without the need for chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Nowadays, this kind of balcony dish that can be watched and eaten gradually begins to rise in Hohhot City. The importer of this soilless vegetable planting method is a female college student from Huade County farmhouse in Ulanqab City. Her name is Dong Fanyun.

Every morning, Dong Fanyun comes to her community vegetable garden on time to nurse the sprouts. In her eyes, each sprout is like her child. The tender green sprouts were dotted with crystal drops, which were particularly pleasant under the sunlight. Being in it always made her happy.

"A piece of paper, a handful of seeds, a tray, a watering can, harvest a dish." Dong Fanyun's entrepreneurial story starts in 2014: at that time, she just graduated from Inner Mongolia Vocational and Technical College of Architecture, and she didn't want to find a job like most people. She was stubborn and always wanted to break into a world according to her own interests. Inadvertently, she found CCTV agricultural channel broadcast paper vegetable reports, simple and easy-to-do paper vegetable growing technology deeply attracted her, from then on, her enthusiasm for paper vegetable growing will not be stopped. At first, she bought seeds from a grain store and studied them at home. Due to the lack of understanding of seed properties, many seeds are bad and the planting effect is not ideal. Therefore, she went to Beijing to learn, learn professional sprout planting technology.

After returning from Beijing, in order to better develop sprouts, Dong Fanyun decided to use traditional vegetables to drive sprouts into the market. She and her friends contracted to grow vegetables in greenhouses. From then on, Dong Fanyun took a bus from the urban area to the vicinity of the greenhouse every day, and then walked 2 kilometers to arrive, and the day's labor began. Mowing, plowing, ridging, this young girl does not complain nor tired, sometimes too busy to forget the time, just spend the night in the shed. After the first shed of vegetables matured, the price of vegetables was so low that it was not enough for the cost of transportation. She had to watch the vegetables rot in the field. For the first time, she experienced the hardships of starting a business.

But it also strengthened her resolve to turn to sprouts. Compared with traditional vegetables, sprouts can be grown quantitatively: traditional vegetables need soil and fertilizer, sprouts only need water and sunlight, from seed selection to harvest, can be completed in 7 to 15 days, simple and easy to operate. Dong Fanyun began to learn the practice of a teacher in Beijing, making balcony vegetables so that every family can plant, can eat fresh live sprouts. She sent pictures and messages through WeChat, which was recognized by many people and helped her promote sprouts together.

At present, Dong Fanyun has registered the Green Bud Planting Center in the New town area. Many communities have also actively helped her to promote the balcony garden, and equipped her with a dedicated office and experimental planting base. Dong Fanyun felt that his entrepreneurial dream was getting closer and closer.

Dong Fanyun also has a lot of plans for the future: after promoting the balcony small vegetable garden in the community, set up a planting base, develop some new varieties of sprouts, promote the finished sprouts to restaurants, hot pot shops, weight loss beauty centers, supermarkets... Dong Fanyun also wants to have his own sprouts restaurant, sprouts creative hall, fish pond, chicken farm, just like the real version of "QQ farm", drive more people to work.
