Last Updated: 2024/10/07, Yantan resigned and went back to his hometown to grow kiwifruit.

Nowadays, when many young people yearn for the wonderful world outside, in the university village of Yantan Town, a 29-year-old young man named Dai Zhifeng gave up his existing job and chose a way to return to his hometown to start a business after graduating from college.

A few days ago, the reporter came to the university village and, under the leadership of Dai Zhifeng, came to the high mountain of the village, which is more than 430 meters above sea level-- Yongjia Dilong Farm Red Actinidia Plantation. Looking ahead, the mountains are covered with kiwifruit shelves and a few red kiwifruit hanging fruit. It is understood that the plantation covers an area of more than 150 mu.

Make up your mind and go back to your hometown to plant red kiwifruit

Dai Zhifeng told reporters that after graduating from college, he worked as a car salesman in Oubei. Two years ago, he quit his job and returned to his hometown to contract large tracts of land and become a farmer. "now farming is the same as starting a business outside the country. if you grow it well, you will have a high income." Dai Zhifeng said.

It is not a whim to return to my hometown to start a business. Dai Zhifeng said that usually he often goes home and sees that the fields in the village are either barren or the elderly are farming. Nowadays, young people like to stay in the city, and fewer and fewer stay at home.

In 2014, with the support of his family, after many inquiries and careful consideration, he felt that the newly emerging hearts kiwifruit was a very good business opportunity, so he immediately made up his mind to discuss with his family to grow hearts kiwifruit. "Red kiwifruit has high nutritional value, and it is suitable for all ages."

Dai Zhifeng's mother told the reporter that a few years ago, she and her husband were both doing business outside, and since their son was going back to his hometown to start a business, the two elders have also come back, hoping to help manage it.

The support of his family is the biggest motivation for Dai Zhifeng to do what he says. In 2014, Dai Zhifeng contracted land to lay scaffolds and planted kiwifruit trees with hearts. In order to take good care of these kiwifruit trees, he spends almost every day in the mountains. "at the beginning, I was not proficient in planting techniques. I bought books to read, and I also lost some of the saplings." In order to make his career bear fruit, Dai Zhifeng asked everywhere for advice. "Agricultural development is a long-term process, and there will be no profit without three or five years, so the biggest problem is capital," Dai Zhifeng said.

With hard work, more than 150 mu of base is beginning to take shape.

In the base, the reporter saw that although it was only two years old, many kiwi fruits with hearts had already been hung. Dai Zhifeng said that in order to ensure the high quality and high yield of rhesus monkey trees in the coming year, fruit trees should be thinned in the early stage, so there are only a few kiwi fruits on them, while others do not, and the output should be very good next year.

Dai Zhifeng told reporters that because the ripening cycle of kiwifruit is three years, the fourth year only reaches the high yield period. In other words, there were only inputs but no benefits in the first three years. According to Dai Zhifeng, so far, the base has invested more than 2 million yuan, and except for the support of family members, the rest are basically borrowed from relatives and friends.

Because of the large area of the production base, in the later management, he invited local villagers. Teng Shoulin, a villager in his 50s, told the reporter with a smile that he earned more than 30,000 yuan a year at Dai Zhifeng's base last year. After tasting the sweetness, more and more villagers are involved. They feel that farming at home can bring more income in the base. Dai Zhifeng said that the annual labor cost alone is more than 200,000 yuan.

Through 2 years of hard work, the 150-mu kiwifruit base founded by it has begun to take shape. When talking about the future development, Dai Zhifeng told reporters that after the benefits are achieved, he hopes to drive the villagers to plant kiwifruit together, and he will provide technology. Increase income and become rich with fellow villagers at the same time, extend the industrial chain and develop rural tourism in the village.

Dai Zhifeng said that some time ago, Tmall e-commerce Gu Lv agricultural products came to inspect the base and signed a cooperation agreement. At that time, the green pollution-free specialties of the base will be sold through the network channel, as long as netizens scan the QR code, they will see the whole planting process, the actual situation of the base, and so on.
