Small centipede bite, only in the local redness, swelling, pain. Bitten by a large centipede, it can cause lymphangitis and tissue necrosis, sometimes the whole limb appears purple epilepsy. Some can see headache, fever, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and even dyspnea, convulsions, coma and other systemic symptoms. If you are bitten by a red-headed, black-body, yellow-footed centipede in the Yangtze River valley, the bite will quickly produce severe pain, generally within 2 hours, severe pain in the elbow joint, severe pain in the armpit within 3 hours, and faint pain in the chest within 4-5 hours. But don't worry, it usually does not cause fatal danger, and the symptoms gradually disappear after 4 days.

When bitten by a centipede, its venom glands secrete a large amount of venom, and the venom glands of the cis-palatal teeth are injected subcutaneously into the victim's skin, resulting in poisoning. The bigger the centipede, the more toxins are injected into the stings, and the more serious the poisoning symptoms are. Centipede venom is acidic and contains two toxic ingredients similar to bee venom, namely histamine-like substances and hemolytic proteins. It also contains tyrosine, formic acid, fatty oil, cholesterol and so on. People bitten by centipedes can cause local tissue destruction and lymphangitis, venom also has sensitizing effect, sometimes can cause large area purpura.

Emergency Management
