Abstract: native chicken is a kind of poultry, which is different from caged broiler, among which "hillside scattered native chicken" is the best, the crown of rooster is big and red, fierce and aggressive, and the crown of hen is very small, also called grass chicken and stupid chicken. It refers to the broilers raised in mountain forests and orchards, which have the characteristics of resistance to rough feeding, strong nesting and disease resistance, and delicious meat.

Native chicken is a kind of poultry, which is different from caged broiler, among which "hillside scattered native chicken" is the best, the rooster crown is big and red, fierce and aggressive, the hen crown is very small, also called grass chicken, stupid chicken, refers to the broilers raised in mountain forests and orchards, with the characteristics of resistance to rough feeding, strong nesting and disease resistance, and delicious meat. Eggs sell very well in urban and rural markets, and the price of eggs is also higher than that of ordinary eggs, with high nutritional value. The chicken taste is delicious, the egg quality is good, the nutrition is rich, the market demand prospect is broad. And because most of them are stocked in forests or orchards, which are closer to the requirements of green environmental protection, they are more favored by consumers. for farmers with certain conditions, the cost of raising firewood chickens is relatively low, which is suitable for family breeding. the breeding cycle is longer, generally about six months of adulthood.

Chapter I Construction of chicken coop

1. The construction of chicken coop

Raising chickens under the forest is to make full use of the environment such as orchards, mountain forests, shrubs and grasslands, so we should simplify the situation and build a certain amount of chicken coops. The main purpose of the chicken coop is to provide rest and shelter from the Phoenix, so it can be relatively simple. Generally, you can take shelter in a slightly flat place on the mountain, using straw, wood strips, and plastic ropes to form a fence, or surround it with plastic sheeting, plastic film, and linoleum. Generally, the width of the shed is 5m, and the height in the middle of the shed is 1.8mur2.0m. The length depends on the number of chickens raised. Generally, it is best to hold 15 chickens per square meter. At the same time, wooden strips and Zhu poles can be used to build the platform of off-ground 30cm in the direction of raising chicken woodland in the chicken house, and one 1cm can be set up for the rest of the chicken handle.

2. The construction of the fence

Chicken mountain forest fence choose nylon net, plastic net, steel net, you can also use Zhu rod, tree trunk as a greedy  fence feeding density is generally controlled at 2250Me 3000 per hectare (conditional can take rotational grazing to facilitate grassland recuperation), the site is surrounded by a fence with a height of 1.5m, a wooden pile at an interval of 2m, and the plastic net can be fixed on the stake (you can also use Zhu to weave a fence).

3. Site selection

Choose sites that meet the requirements of pollution-free environmental protection, such as gardens, woodlands, etc. (preferably with grass). At the same time, the site is relatively closed, easy to isolate, sunny, avoid Phoenix, dry.

4. Equipment selection

Feed buckets and drinking fountains should be based on the number of chickens raised. Generally, one bucket and one water fountain should be allocated for every 30 chickens. These equipment should be placed outside the house when chickens are released.

Chapter II preparation of Chicken Feed

1. Production of fresh insect feed

In order to make the meat of free-range chicken delicious, grow fast and save cost, insects can be artificially raised near the breeding area to feed chickens. At present, the main method adopted is the method of raising insects with rice straw. The specific method is: smear the rectangular pit with a depth of 0.6m, cut the straw into 6-7cm long. Boil it in water for 12 hours and remove it from the pit. Cover it with 6-7cm thick sludge and pour a pot of rice washing water every day for about 8 days to produce worms. After opening the sludge, chickens can continue to use this method to regenerate insects.

2. Concentrate feed

Choose feed produced by feed manufacturers with stable product quality and good reputation, such as Jinman ship, Zhengda, Tainong and other brands of feed. Three aspects should be paid attention to when purchasing feed:

① checks the label and chooses to buy small, medium and big chicken feed according to the age of the chicken.

② looks at the production date and shelf life.

③ inspects the feed package for breakage.

Chapter III Chicken feeding and Management

1. Construction of nursery room

General nursery room is the use of vacant rooms for transformation, per square meter according to 40 chickens, to use a stove or infrared light mixed heat preservation. The ground is then padded with sterilized, warm and dry wood flowers or ten straws cut into 3-5cm. The nursery must have a window for air exchange, so that it can not only keep warm, but also make use of the entry of fresh air to discharge harmful gases such as carbon dioxide and ammonia.

2. Drinking water

The first time a chick drinks water is called "boiled drink". On the first day of brooding, drinking sugar water can reduce the mortality rate of brooding in the first 7 days. The concentration of sugar water is generally 8%. Just taste it slightly sweet with your mouth. Vitamins can also be added to drinking water to reduce early chicken mortality. Water consumption is greatly affected by ambient temperature and other factors. Cold water should be provided to chicks as much as possible in hot season, while warm boiled water of no less than 20 ℃ should be provided in cold winter, and the quality of water should meet the standard of drinking water.

3. Start eating

The first feeding of chicks is called "eating". In general, chicks can only eat after drinking water for 3 seconds for 6 hours, and the feeding amount is 400-500g per 100 chicks.

4. Feed

The method of less feeding and frequent feeding is used every week, and the feeding amount is based on 10min 8 times a day. After 7 days, according to the feeding habits of chicks, the feed in the bucket should be added less frequently and finished on the same day.

5. Brooding temperature

The room temperature was 32 ℃ in the first week, decreased by 3 ℃ per week from the second week, and de-heated at the age of 4 Mel at 6 weeks. Temperature is the most important factor in the feeding environment of chicks, and the appropriate temperature is beneficial to the absorption of egg yolk and resistance to white dysentery.

Chapter IV raising and Management of stocking Chicken

Before the chicks move to the mountains, the fruit forest needs to build a chicken coop. The removal of chickens should be carried out at night to reduce disturbance to the chickens. Let the chickens move freely in the forest during the day, and drink and feed outside the house. In order to make chicks form the habit of foraging in orchard woodland as soon as possible, guide training was carried out by at least 2 people every morning from the time when the temperature was removed and transferred to orchard woodland. Every day, the stocking time should not be too early, when the weather is too cold, the resistance of the chicks is poor, and it is difficult to survive. Except for the rain or big Phoenix weather, the chicks can be kept outdoors and driven back to the henhouse in the evening. When overcast and rainy chickens cannot go out to look for food, they should set up sufficient water basins or sinks and replenish their feed in time. It is forbidden to release chickens when applying pesticides in orchard woodland, and the parking time is determined according to the safe period of pesticides, in order to prevent the occurrence of pesticide poisoning. The stocking site is not allowed to enter outsiders and livestock and poultry to prevent the introduction of infectious diseases. At the same time, it is necessary to prevent the harm of snakes, animals, birds and other harmful animals.
