Abstract: foxes are carnivorous animals, which mainly feed on rodents, fish, frogs, clams, shrimp, crabs, earthworms, birds and their eggs, insects and the carcasses of healthy animals. Under artificial feeding conditions, fodder is mainly matched with fodder. In important feeding stages, we can supplement some animal meat scraps such as intestines, stomach, head, bones and so on. Let's take a look at the feed formula of foxes.

Foxes are carnivorous animals, which mainly feed on rodents, fish, frogs, clams, shrimp, crabs, earthworms, birds and their eggs, insects and the carcasses of healthy animals. Under artificial feeding conditions, foxes are mainly matched with fodder. At an important feeding stage, supplement feeding some animal meat scraps such as intestines, stomach, head, bones and so on. Let's take a look at the feed formula of foxes.

The kinds of fodder for foxes

1. Plant feed: foxes' plant feed includes corn, wheat and other grain seeds and their processing by-products, legume seeds and their processing by-products such as soybeans and peanuts, radish, apple, lettuce, cabbage, vetch and other fruits and vegetables.

2. Animal feed: in addition to poisonous fish, the animal feed of foxes includes all kinds of sea miscellaneous fish, freshwater fish and their processing by-products (such as viscera), meat of all kinds of healthy livestock, poultry and wild animals and their processing by-products (such as claws, heads, wings, liver, lungs, skeletons, blood, ears, spleen, intestines), silkworm pupa meal, meat and bone meal, fish meal, dried fish, dry meal, feather meal, eggs (including feather eggs), dairy products, etc.

3, additive feed: Fox additive feed includes amino acids such as lysine and methionine, malt, cod liver oil, yeast, vitamins, minerals such as shell powder, bone meal, salt, a variety of trace elements, antibiotics such as oxytetracycline, quinolinol, BHA.BHT, dihydropyridine and other antioxidants.

Fodder formula for foxes

1. Preparation for mating period: 50-52% of sea fish, 5-6% of meat, 13-14% of grains, 12-13% of vegetables, 13-15% of milk and water, 5-10% wheat bran can be added to cereal feed, and daily feeding capacity is 540-550 grams.

2. Mating period: 57-60% of sea fish, 5% of meat, 12-13% of grains, 10-12% of vegetables, 10-12% of milk and water. 5-10% wheat bran can be added to cereal feed and 500 grams per day.

3. Pregnancy: 52-55% of sea fish, 5-6% of meat, 10-11% of grains, 10-12% of vegetables, 12-16% of milk and water, 5-10% wheat bran can be added to cereal feed, with a daily feed of 530 grams.

4. During the childbirth and lactation period: 53-55% of sea fish, 7-8% of meat, 11-12% of grains, 12-13% of vegetables, 15-18% of milk and water, 5-10% wheat bran can be added to cereal feed, and the daily feeding amount is 620-800 grams.

Attention to the feeding of foxes

The main results are as follows: 1. The gastrointestinal volume of the fox is small, and the intestinal length is only 4 ~ 5 times of the body length, so it is only suitable for the diet based on animal feed. If we do not pay attention to scientific feeding and management in production, it is easy to cause ketosis, and great attention should be paid to the occurrence of fox ketosis.

2. Foxes with disease should generally adopt feed therapy to reduce the proportion of animal feed, especially the proportion of feed rich in fat, increase the proportion of cereal feed rich in carbohydrates and the proportion of vegetables in the diet, and add appropriate amount of white sugar to the feed, which is beneficial to rapidly increase the blood sugar level of the fox body and reduce the production of ketone body. vitamin B12 mg-3 mg is added to the feed every day. It can improve the decarboxylation and detoxification ability of animals.

3. During the peak growth period of young foxes from July to August, in order to meet the needs of their rapid growth and development, high fat, medium protein and low carbohydrate diets should be used. When dealing with the three major nutritional relationships, we should take protein as the core, first make sure that the protein supply is at the middle level of the year (the highest in the winter hair growing season), and then select the corresponding fat and carbohydrate levels in the list of the three major nutritional relationships. and in the floating range, fat chooses the upper limit, while carbohydrate chooses the lower level.

4. We must not mistakenly choose the highest level of fat in different periods, resulting in too high fat level, nor can we choose the lowest level of carbohydrate in different periods, resulting in too low carbohydrate level. in this way, due to nutritional supply imbalance and lead to fox nutritional metabolic disorders, resulting in ketosis.

5. Although foxes are carnivores, we should pay attention to the addition of vegetables in feed in order to meet the needs of vitamins and promote the normal peristalsis of digestive tract, and pay attention to the addition of various vitamin additives to meet the needs of vitamins in different periods. In order to maintain normal metabolism of foxes and prevent the occurrence of ketosis, vitamin B 10.4 mg should be added to the diet, and arctic foxes should be given more.

6. In the hot season, foxes should be allowed to drink freely, early feeding should be properly advanced, evening feeding should be appropriately delayed, and noon supplementary feeding should be fast, so as to reduce the oxidation and rancidity of feed. Foxes raised with freshwater fish should pay attention to cooked feeding. Pay attention to the ventilation of the fox farm, often sprinkle water on the ground to cool down to avoid direct sunlight.
