Cage culture mode

Tilapia can be raised alone, mainly or in combination in cages. The fish species should be of large size, with a tail weight of 10 kilograms and 50 grams. When the dissolved oxygen content is above 3 milligrams per liter, the stocking density is 3 kilograms per cubic meter.

Running water culture mode

Tilapia is one of the main objects of running water high-density culture or "factory" aquaculture. The culture pond should not be too large. Generally, 30-50 square meters of fish should be cultivated, and the dissolved oxygen content of the pond water should be maintained at more than 3 milligrams per liter. Intensive culture needs to be fed with nutritious and comprehensive compound feed, and the protein content of the feed is about 30%. Feed 5 ~ 6 times a day, and the feeding amount is 2.5% ~ 3% of the fish body weight.

Pond culture mode

1. Pond conditions: the breeding site should be selected in a place with shelter from the wind and the sun, sufficient water source, fresh water quality, no pollution, quiet and convenient transportation, with a pond area of 3 mu ~ 5 mu, a water depth of 1.5 to 2 meters, and a pond sediment thickness of 20 to 30 centimeters. Each pond is equipped with a 1.5 kilowatt impeller aerator.

2. Clear the pond and fertilize: clear the pond and disinfect the fish before stocking. Generally in the first and middle of April, clear the pond with 75 kilograms of quicklime per mu, add water to 1 meter after 7 days, and then apply 300 kilograms of rotten manure per mu, which can be put into a small amount of duckweed or duckweed.

When the individual reaches about 300 grams, tilapia enters the period of fastest growth, the daily feed intake is maintained at 1%-2% of the fish body weight, and the protein content in the feed is more than 35%. Feed twice a day at 8-9 a.m. and 3-4 p.m., respectively.

5. Daily management

Stocking preparation: after the completion of the rice field project, two weeks before stocking, the fish ditches and fields were disinfected with 75 kilograms of raw limed water per mu, and the ditches and fields were raked once the next day, so that the lime slurry and silt were fully mixed. One week before seedling release, fermented animal manure was applied to fertilize water, with a dosage of 200 kg per mu to cultivate natural bait in the water.

2. Stocking time: generally, about 5 days after rice transplanting, when the seedlings turn green, they are released. In some places, in order to increase the growth period of fish, the fish are raised in the ditch in the middle of May, and it is also an effective way to open the ditch and put the fish into the field after the seedlings turn green.

3. Stocking methods: fish species with strong physique, strong vitality, no injury and disease, and neat specifications should be selected. The stocking density should be reasonable. Generally, 200,300 tilapia species with specifications of 5 centimeters and 6 centimeters per mu can be stocked, with 150 fish per mu, such as grass carp and carp. The specific stocking amount can be flexibly controlled according to paddy field conditions, water quality environment, drainage and irrigation conditions and management level.

4. Stocking operation: the fish should be disinfected before entering the pond, and the fish should be bathed in 3%-5% salt water for 5 minutes for 10 minutes. The time to release fish should be in the morning or evening on a sunny day, and never release fish at noon on a rainy day or a sunny day.
