The main commodity of mink is leather, mink is one of the three pillar commodities of the world fur market, the market demand is very huge, it has a high breeding prospect, and it is also one of the more common special breeding. The following editor will introduce the prevention and control techniques of common diseases of minks.

Mink anthracnose

[symptoms] in the initial stage, mink with anthracnose had a sharp rise in body temperature, foaming at the mouth, shaking, refusing to eat, and most of them developed hematuria, dysentery, dyspnea and died of convulsions.

[treatment method] immune serum was injected intradermally with 1015ml and 200000 units of penicillin. Eliminate the source of infection and vaccinate against anthrax.

Pasteurellosis

[symptoms] Pasteurellosis is also called bloody septicemia. The marten loses weight very quickly, vomits dysentery, and has blood in the stool. In severe cases, the hind limbs are paralyzed, the neck fester, and the mortality rate is very high.

[treatment] Pigs or chickens were injected with polyvalent immune serum 150ml (mink or preventive half), 200000 units of penicillin or 100000 units of oxytetracycline, or 0.1g of streptomycin 0.2g.

Mink canine distemper

[symptoms] Mink with canine distemper at the initial stage of refusing to eat, dry nose, within 2-3 days of acute rhinitis, conjunctivitis, tears and snot sticky, sneezing, followed by neurological disorder, systemic muscle spasm.

[treatment] multivalent canine distemper immune serum, sulfonamide preparation and penicillin were injected intradermally, or 2 ml of Shan's vaccine was injected for 14 days.

Pustulosis of young mink

[symptoms] pustulosis of young minks usually occurs 5-6 days after birth.

[treatment] discharge pus, disinfect, smear penicillin, oral chlortetracycline, glucose, multivitamins. The female mink was fed with chlortetracycline, vitamin C and B1.

Mink yellow liposis

[symptoms] Mink yellow liposis is most common in young minks, which often occurs from July to August. At the initial stage of the disease, loss of appetite or refusal to eat, elevated body temperature, accelerated breathing, hindlimb paralysis, can not stand.

[treatment] ① acute type: intramuscular injection of penicillin 10 ~ 200000 units or vitamin E 5 ~ 10 mg. ② yellow liver disease: 15 ~ 200000 units of penicillin were injected intramuscularly, or "ATP" and glucose were added. ③ chronic type: intramuscular injection of green oil 1015 units, vitamin E 5 ~ 10 mg, skin injection of vitamin B, B12, folic acid and so on. Those with hematochezia are injected (or fed) with vitamin C and K, and can be injected alternately.
