Abstract: toads, also known as scabies, toads, toads and so on, belong to the amphibian family Bufalidae, which are divided into Chinese big toad and black orbital toad in our country, and are distributed all over the country. Toad and toad clothes extracted from them are scarce medicinal materials in our country, which are of great medicinal value. Let's take a look at the complete picture of toads.

Toads, also known as scabies, toads, toads and so on, are amphibian animals of the family Bufalidae, which are divided into Chinese big toad and black-orbital toad in China, which are distributed all over the country. Toad and toad clothes extracted from them are scarce medicinal materials in our country, which are of great medicinal value. Let's take a look at the species picture of toads.

Bufo gargarizans

Chinese toad, also known as big toad, etc., lives in the soil, or lives under stones and grass, crawls out to hunt at dusk. The spawning season varies from place to place, and the eggs are staggered into four rows in the egg band of tubular glia. The egg band is wrapped around aquatic plants, each laying 2000-8000 eggs. Adult toads hibernate in underwater soil or rotten grass, and their tadpoles like to swim in groups in the same direction, mostly in underwater mud in winter, feeding on animals such as snails, slugs, ants, beetles and moths.

Flower-backed toad

The average body length of Bufo gargarizans is about 60 mm, the largest female is 80 mm, the head width is larger than the head length, the kiss end is round, the kiss edge is significant, the cheek is tilted to the outside, the nose spacing is slightly smaller than the eye spacing, the upper eyelid width is slightly larger than the eye spacing, the tympanic membrane is significant, oval. Most of them live under grass and stone or in soil caves during the day, go out in search of food at dusk, and live in groups of holes in sand in winter. China is mainly distributed in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei and Shandong.

Black orbital toad

The black-orbital toad is a lovely toad with a black protuberance around its eyes, as if with black-orbital glasses, so it is called the black-orbital toad. The body is obese, about 6-7 cm in size, with a wide variation in body color, including yellowish brown, dark brown and grayish black, and some with irregular reddish brown spots. Widely distributed in flat land and low-altitude areas, it is the amphibian that is most willing to get along with human beings, and often appears near houses, rice fields, open spaces and other places. Adults are very adaptable to the environment. In pools with good shelter, such as lotus ponds, there may be hundreds of black-orbital toads in pools of less than 100 square meters.

Red-eyed toad

The red-eyed toad, a new species of toad, was discovered in the steep foggy forests of Colombia in September 2010, which once baffled scientists. The exact species of toad is still a mystery because its eyes look like rubies. Provenances can be captured from the wild, or eggs or poles can be harvested for breeding.

American toad

The American toad, which is 51 to 110mm long, is usually found in forests and even in the vestibule of the home, especially in humid environments. From March to July, it will lay string-shaped eggs in the mud of ponds or rivers, with 6000 eggs. Feed on crickets, yellow powder insects, earthworms, ants, spiders, slugs, hundred feet and other tiny vertebrates, distributed in Canada and the United States.
