Abstract: the specific content of cage high-density, three-dimensional and high-yield frog culture technology is to use farm manure and wheat drum to cultivate earthworms, yellow powder insects and fly maggots, and then feed bullfrogs in the box with earthworms. The cage is set up in fish ponds. Frog dung and worm manure can be used to raise fish. This method has the advantages of small footprint, low cost, anti-enemy damage, high breeding density, fast growth, easy management and high comprehensive benefit. The specific technical measures are as follows.

The specific content of the cage high-density and high-yield frog culture technology is to use farm manure and wheat drum to cultivate earthworms, yellow powder insects and fly maggots, and then feed bullfrogs in the box with earthworms. The cage is set in fish ponds, and frog dung and worm manure can be used to raise fish. The method has the advantages of less land occupation, low cost, anti-enemy damage, high breeding density, fast growth of bullfrog, easy management, high comprehensive benefit and so on.

Cage setting

The cage material used to make bullfrog breeding requires good ventilation and water permeability, which can be made by stitching plastic mesh or screen window. The specifications and shape of the cage should be made according to the place, generally rectangular, and the volume should not exceed 10 cubic meters. After the mesh is sewn, bamboo or wood can be used to tie it into a box frame and fix it, fully open. When setting up a cage in the pond, the foam board or floating material can be bound at the 30cm point where the box enters the water to ensure the stability of the water level in the box, and pull with a rope on the shore to prevent the strong wind from blowing.

Stocking density

Bullfrogs raised in cages should make full use of the water body in the box and can be raised with high density. the general stocking density is 300-500 pythons per square meter, 50-200 young frogs per square meter, and 100 adult frogs. Bullfrogs should be classified into boxes according to their growth speed after putting them in human cages, so as to avoid unnecessary losses caused by cannibalism.

Reasonable bait

After the frog seedling box, one or more bait trays should be set up in the box depending on the size of the box and the number of frogs. The daily amount of bait should be determined according to the frog size, weather change and water temperature, and it is appropriate to eat within one hour after feeding. The bait is usually taken twice a day, once at 9: 10 a.m. and 5-6 p.m.

Disease prevention and disinfection

Because bullfrogs are reared in cages with high stocking density and concentrated frogs, disease prevention and disinfection should be done earnestly. Generally, the box is disinfected with bleach solution of lppm concentration every 10 days.
