Bama Xiang pig is a local miniature pig breed with a long breeding history and stable genetic genes, excellent quality and rare, extensive breeding, strong adaptability and disease resistance, breeding sow general use life of eight years, up to fourteen years, wide use, development prospects are very broad, let's take a look at Bama Xiang pig breeding technology video bar!

Breeding Prospect of Bama Xiang Pig

Bama Xiang pig skin thin bone, tender meat, delicious taste, suitable for processing roast suckling pig excellent characteristics, but also as experimental animals or pet breeding has broad prospects. The biggest advantage of Bama Xiang pig breeding lies in its own coarse feed tolerance, strong disease resistance and strong adaptability, because these Bama Xiang pigs have their own advantages, which can make the breeding feed input less, the survival rate higher, the environment input less, the technical requirements lower, so Bama Xiang pig breeding is a low threshold, low cost and low risk breeding.

Introduction of Bama Xiang Pig

1. Pig breed selection: pay attention to pig breed selection before Xiang pig breeding. Strictly inspect the appearance, growth and development, pedigree, genetic defects and other aspects of pig breed when introducing pigs. It is required to have obvious breed characteristics, vigorous reproductive function and bring back pig breed pedigree cards for future reference.

2, introduction time: Xiang pig introduction is best in late spring, after warm summer, in the case of temperature gradually reduced through the autumn and winter seasons, and requirements after winter to do a good job of cold work, gradually adapt to the local natural conditions. It is better to introduce young pigs about 4 months old or slightly older. Pigs have strong adaptability in their young stage and are easy to accept changed external living conditions.

Reproductive cycle of Bama Xiang pig

1. Male Xiang pigs: The crawling and crossing behavior appeared in 65~75 days old of Bama male Xiang pigs, and the clear fluid appeared in testis for the first time at 76 days old. Sperm is collected at 170 days of age and weighing 8.5 - 17 kg. The ejaculation volume is about 25 ml, and each ml of semen contains 250 million sperm. The first estrus of female Xiang pigs is 120 days old, the estrous cycle is 21 days, the duration is 3~4 days, and the gestation period is 111~115 days.

1. Female Xiang pig: The litter size of Bama female Xiang pig is not many, the litter size of the first litter is about 8, the litter size of the newborn is 3.36 kg, the number of weaned piglets at 60 days old is 8, the litter weight is 80 kg, and the litter size of the second and above female Xiang pigs is 10~12.

How to shorten the reproductive cycle

1. Induction of estrus: inducing weaned sows to ovulate in time can shorten the reproductive cycle of sows and improve the utilization efficiency of breeding pigs. The commonly used methods include boar induction, social integration, intensive exercise, breast massage, exogenous hormones (such as pregnant horse serum gonadotropin, human chorionic gonadotropin, etc.).

2. Early weaning: sows weaned at 60 days can produce 1.8 litters per year, sows weaned at 45 days can produce 2 litters per year, and sows weaned at 28 days can produce more than 2.2 litters per year. In general factory and intensive pig farms, piglets can be weaned at 4 to 5 weeks of age, and rural farmers can wean pigs at about 7 weeks of age.

3, piglet foster care: foster care refers to in the pig farm at the same time there are a certain number of sows to give birth to the case, will have more or no milk to eat piglets foster to give birth to less sow, is one of the effective measures to improve the survival rate of pigs, but also make some sows early estrus breeding, shorten the birth interval of this part of sows.
