At present, the craze for raising meat dogs in China has been formed, but it has not yet cultivated a real special meat dog breed. The better meat dog Tibetan mastiff, shepherd dog, Guangdong yellow dog, Sichuan yellow dog and so on are only local and dual-use breeds. The so-called improved meat dogs raised in various places are the offspring of local crossbreeds and local dogs. Let's take a look at the construction plan of the meat dog farm.

Site selection of Meat Dog breeding

Kennels require a quiet environment, adequate water, good water quality, convenient transportation, easy power supply, and a certain distance from residential areas, transportation roads, livestock and poultry farms, sewage puddles and chemical plants. The site must be dry, ventilated and sunny, with trees planted around the enclosure, sunshade, warm in winter and cool in summer.

Design of kennel for meat dog breeding

The ditches around the meat dog farm and the activity farm should be unobstructed and the ground should be smooth, which is conducive to the removal of feces. Kennels should be built facing south or southeast, should be sturdy and durable, and must conform to the dog's living habits and sanitary conditions. Each kennel should have a separate playground. The kennel is made of brick and concrete, and the doors and windows are made of steel and wood. The activity site is cement or concrete, with a slight slope to facilitate drainage, and the partition is surrounded by angle iron, steel pipe and barbed wire, which is not only strong and durable, but also easy to clean, wash and disinfect.

Problems needing attention in the construction of meat dog farm

1. Daylighting and ventilation: daylight and ventilation are important sanitary conditions for kennels. Daylighting windows should be 1 / 8-1 / 5 of the area of dog beds, and glass windows should be installed to prevent mosquitoes in summer. The kennel is naturally ventilated and equipped with a special manual ventilation device.

2. Moistureproof and drainage: dogs hate dampness, so the construction of kennels must pay attention to moistureproof and moistureproof. The dog bed should be 20-30 cm above the ground. Sewers had better be large-caliber hidden trenches, if open ditches, then the kennels shall not communicate with each other to prevent infectious diseases and parasitic diseases.

3. Heat prevention and heat preservation: dogs are afraid of heat and cold. The standard temperature of kennels is 17-20 ℃ in summer and 13-15 ℃ in winter. Therefore, raising dogs in the south is mainly to prevent heat and cool down. Trees should be planted around the kennel for sunshade, or shading equipment should be installed to prevent summer heat.
