Flower friends raise orchids, often encounter orchids suddenly become thin, slowly yellow leaves, withered. Normal watering and fertilization have not improved, at this time, do not know how to deal with it? In fact, if orchids increasingly "emaciated", do not sprout, do not blossom, often because of these three harm.

1. Water damage

Flower lovers who raise orchids all know that water hurts old leaves, soil dryness hurts new seedlings, and so do orchids. Too much watering for a long time or continuous rain, the soil air gap is filled, and the orchid root is anoxic and soaked by water for a long time, causing necrosis. The damage to the root of the orchid must be reflected in the orchid leaves.

First of all, the foot shell water yellow withered, and then the leaf loss of green, white and yellow, gradually withered and extremely vulnerable to bacteria. The outer leaves withered when the orchid root was slightly damaged, and the whole plant withered if the orchid root was seriously damaged. So, how to deal with this kind of situation?

Prevention and control measures are: appropriate amount of watering, reduce rain. During the rainy season or the rainy season in the south, flower friends pay attention to put the potted orchid in a place of shelter from the rain. when there is no shelter from the rain, the potted orchid should be poured out in time after the rain, and the orchid pot can be placed horizontally on the ground in case of continuous rain to prevent stagnant water.

2. Fertilizer damage

Excessive fertilization hurt the roots and scorched leaves, causing the orchid to "lose weight". The main methods of prevention and control are: when orchids are put on the pot, base fertilizer must be applied according to the growth of orchids. Do not add base fertilizer to the old plants that are weak or divided into separate plants. Mature and strong plants should also add an appropriate amount of base fertilizer, mainly phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. Base fertilizer does not come into direct contact with Langen to avoid root injury.

Usually give priority to the organic liquid fertilizer for orchids, diluting 500 times to irrigate the roots, once every 10-15 days. If you find that the potted soil is fat and heavy, you should immediately turn the pot, wash the orchid plant, cut off the rotten roots, and change the plain soil for replanting after drying.

3. Disease

In the rainy and humid season and when the water drenched on the leaf center can not be dried in time in winter, orchid diseases may occur, such as black rot, mildew and so on. In this regard, first, it is necessary to prevent water in the heart of leaves and stagnant water in basin soil, second, to strengthen ventilation, and third, to pay attention to spraying prevention and control when the temperature is 20-30 ℃ and the humidity is too high.

In addition, orchids are increasingly withered, growth stops, new buds do not sprout, watering and shading are not effective, in fact, they are also related to the use of pots and soil, so they should be replanted immediately. The orchid pot should be deep and wide, in order to facilitate the root, is for many clump strong orchid, downhill grass, ramet weak grass to apply the appropriate size of the orchid basin, and try to use the tile basin.

Plant orchid soil should be easy and soft, with fertile humus soil is better, do not mix fertilizer in the general soil. Both the grass growing down the mountain and the weak grass on the pot have the process of adapting to the environment, and it is better to plant in plain soil.

On the other hand, the concentration of fertilizer in the soil is too high, which has a reverse osmosis effect on the root cells and makes the roots dry and rot. Therefore, once it is found that the orchid leaves are withered and the growth stops, first consider whether the basin is too large or the pot soil is too fertile, and immediately turn the basin to change the soil.
