Guizhi Ito, a Japanese grocery store owner and corsage writer, graduated from Sanze Design Institute.

In 2001, I went to live in the Netherlands, and then returned to Japan. At first, I worked part-time in a flower shop. Customers often asked if the Dutch corsage worn by Ito was for sale. Ito began to think about whether handmade cloth corsage should be sold.

After having the idea, he began to investigate and found that no one in Japan seemed to make Dutch corsage, so Ito decided to teach himself how to make corsage. Fortunately, Ito not only found materials and tools in a shop selling cloth dye, but also learned the basics of hot flowers.

A part-time job in a florist also allows Ito to systematically understand flowers, whether in color or structure.

After that, there is a long road of self-study, starting from painting, decomposing flowers, cutting cloth, and arranging colors. Accumulate experience and lessons step by step until a satisfactory cloth flower is finally made.

In order to make corsage with Dutch style, Ito constantly collects all kinds of retro corsage from all over Europe, and learns and improves his skills through observation.

In 2007, Ito officially opened a store selling Dutch clothing and accessories, "TURBO", and combined with dyeing, stamping and other processes to make beautiful cloth corsage, and teach their own production experience.

The color is a powder dye, diluted by water, and then mixed with different colors to obtain a satisfactory color.

According to the needs of making flowers, different fabrics are used, such as velvet, silk, forged cloth. Each fabric is dyed and made differently, and some fabrics need to be dyed many times.

The flower bud is made of ultra-light clay.

Wrap the dyed silk around.

The flowers and leaves use the blanching process to make the leaves have a clear vein.

Finally, there is a combination of flowers and leaves.

From an accidental idea to truly becoming a craftsman, it is a long and endless road, especially when you delve into remote craftsmanship, there is no one to guide teaching, no experience sharing, enthusiasm is the only guide.

Failure, frustration, happiness in the process is not only the nutrition behind the craft, but also the dessert in the journey of life.
