A popular pet pig, nicknamed "Tea Cup Pig", originated in Britain and is a breed handed over from many meat pigs. It weighs only about 255g at birth and can even be stuffed into a teacup. However, even the slow-growing "mini pig" is not as reliable as advertised in the end. A pot-bellied pig may grow to about 90kg and 200kg in adulthood, while China's Bama Xiang pig can reach 70kg.

Food matching of Little Xiang Pig

1. Bran feed: bran feed includes rice bran, wheat bran, sweet potato rattan bran, peanut rattan bran, broad bean leaf bran, soybean straw bran, etc., and the amount of pig is 10-15% of the total feed, no more than 20% at most.

2. Meal feed: meal feed mainly includes rapeseed cake, peanut cake, cottonseed cake, soybean cake, sesame cake and so on. The proportion of cake feed for pigs is 10-25% of the total feed. Soybean cake and peanut cake are nutritious and can be matched with 25%. Rapeseed cake and cottonseed cake should be less than 10%. Rapeseed cakes and cottonseed cakes should be detoxified first, and other cakes only need to be boiled or fried and fed. It is not suitable to add cake meal to piglet feed.

3. Dregs feed: dregs feed includes distiller's grains, bran dregs, vinegar dregs, powder dregs, bean dregs, bagasse and so on. The amount of pig used is 5-10% of the total feed. Pregnant sows and fattening sows should not be fed with distiller's grains. All kinds of dregs must be cooked before feeding.

4. Grain feed: grain feed includes corn, barley, wheat, sorghum, broad bean, pea and so on. The amount of pig consumption is 50% of the total feed, no more than 60% at most.

5. Animal feed: animal feed includes silkworm pupa, fish meal, bone meal, blood meal, feather meal and so on. The amount of pigs is 40.8% of the total feed, and piglets should not be fed with blood meal. The fishmeal in the feed of fattening pigs can be mixed with 10%. If it is mixed with silkworm pupa, the fishmeal can only be mixed with 5%. When using this kind of feed, we should pay attention to the proportion of calcium and phosphorus.

6. Mineral feed: mineral feed includes shell powder, eggshell powder, calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate and salt, etc. The amount of pig is 1% of the total amount of feed, and the amount of salt is not more than 0.5%. If trace elements are added, it should be used in strict accordance with the regulations.

7. Green feed: green feed includes aquatic duckweed, water hyacinth, water hyacinth, water peanut and crop leaves, vines, alfalfa, vetch and so on. This kind of feed is green, juicy, nutritious and easy to digest, accounting for 40% of the total feed.
