The commonly used disinfection measures in cattle farms are mainly through cleaning, washing, ventilation, filtration and other mechanical methods to remove pathogens. Although this method is common and commonly used, it can not achieve the purpose of thorough disinfection. As an auxiliary method, it must be carried out in cooperation with other disinfection methods.

Use sunlight, ultraviolet, drying, high temperature, cooking and other methods to kill bacteria and viruses.

Killing pathogens with chemical drugs is the most commonly used method. The selection of disinfection drugs should consider broad-spectrum sterilization, low effective concentration, fast effect and good effect; second, it is harmless to human beings and animals; third, it is stable, easy to dissolve in water, and not easy to be affected by organic matter and other physical and chemical factors; fourth, it is easy to use, cheap, easy to popularize; fifth, tasteless, odorless, does not damage disinfected articles; sixth, less residue or less side effects after use.

This method is commonly used to accumulate and ferment contaminated faeces and produce heat up to more than 70 ℃ when thermophilic bacteria are used to reproduce. Viruses, bacteria, parasite eggs and other pathogens can be killed after 1-2 months. However, this method is not applicable to diseases caused by spore pathogens such as anthrax and emphysema, and the feces of such diseases should be burned or buried deeply.

Do it 2-4 times a year, at least once in spring and autumn. All equipment in the cowshed should be disinfected once a month.

Disinfection measures commonly used in cattle farms:

① can disinfect the barn floor and dung gutter with the following drugs: 5-10% hot alkali water, 3% caustic soda, 3-5% Lysol solution and other spray disinfection, and brush the walls with 20% quicklime milk powder.

② raising utensils, cattle pens, cow beds, etc., are washed and disinfected with 5-10% hot alkali water or 3% caustic soda solution or 3-5% Lysol. 2-6 hours after disinfection, rinse the feeding trough and cow bed with clean water before putting in the cattle.

③ sweeps the playground, removes weeds and disinfects them with 5-10% hot lye or quicklime.

After tuberculosis, brucellosis or other epidemic cattle are detected and removed from the herd, the barn, equipment and sports ground concerned shall be temporarily disinfected.

When abortion occurs in cattle with ① brucellosis, the convective products and contaminated places and appliances must be thoroughly disinfected.

The feces and urine of cattle with ② disease should be accumulated far away from the barn and fermented by biological heat before they can be used as fertilizer.

The ③ delivery room was disinfected once a month, and the delivery room was sterilized before and after delivery.
