Sparus macrocephalus is one of the three lakes Sparus macrocephalus, which is the general name of Africa's three Great Lakes Malawi Lake, Lake Tangan Ike and Lake Victoria. Among the three lakes, the color of Sparus macrocephalus is the most colorful and changeable. If you want to raise the sea bream well, you have to make efforts in many aspects. Let's take a look at the culture techniques of snapper.

Fish tank

Ma Sparus is extremely regional and naturally aggressive, so the bigger the fish tank, the better. Many fish tank friends have fish tanks of more than 1000 liters, some of which are more than 2000 liters. Beginners should start with a small tank, gain some experience, and then move the fish to a larger tank. When buying a fish tank or making your own fish tank, the tank should be as deep as possible to facilitate future landscaping. In order to achieve a good landscape effect, the height of the cylinder had better reach more than 50 centimeters.

Make a scene

If the scenery is too complex, it can easily encourage the regional view of the sea bream, and the fighting will become more fierce, making it difficult to add new fish to the tank (easy to be eaten). For ordinary fish lovers, there is no need to create scenery, simply put a few rocks and increase the density of mixed culture on it, anyway, the color of the bream is more gorgeous, the density looks good.

Lighting

The horse bream itself is brightly colored and performs very well in any light condition. But with good lighting, the fish can fully display their beautiful color, and it can also multiply the algae on the rocks for part of the horse to eat sea bream. But too strong lighting often makes them feel uncomfortable, and their body color gradually fades.

Fish selection

I believe we all understand the importance of selecting fish. Good genes are directly related to the follow-up development, but never buy juvenile fish or fish with very bright hair color at the sub-adult stage. These fish are very likely to have been injected with hormones and will fade quickly after being bought and raised at home for a period of time. When choosing, you should try to choose those who like to swim around and grab food more fiercely. This kind of fish will be very healthy as soon as they are moved, and their hair color will be beautiful in the future.

Release the fish

As long as the environment in the tank meets the above requirements, you can put the fish into the tank. If there is a horse bream in the tank, the new fish will be chased and driven by other fish. In order to reduce the attack on the new fish, you can release the fish at the time of feeding, so that the new fish can quickly find a place to hide in the tank, or turn off the lights immediately after adding the new fish to distract the original fish. After the event, if it is always driven and chased by other fish, it is best to remove it, otherwise it will be "killed" sooner or later.

Mixed culture

Raise horse bream according to the size of the fish tank to configure the number of fish, small fish will not fight, raised fish to occupy territory in order to breed, fighting phenomenon will occur from time to time, the weak will be bitten by the strong all over the body, or even die, 80-liter tank put 5 to 6 big fish almost. Ma Sparus likes to dig sand because it indicates that this is their territory, and if you help them set up holes like nests first, the fish will not fight.

Bait

The newly hatched small fish of Sparus macrocephalus can be fed with frozen slices of harvest shrimp larvae or larval bait. Adult fish can be fed with fishy harvest shrimp adults or red worms. Frozen harvest shrimp and dried red worms are a good choice, but frozen red worms should not be fed as much as possible, because red insects often carry germs. In addition, if you only feed dry granular or flaky feed, it is recommended to feed a variety of mixed feed for balanced nutrition.

Temperature

Horse bream breeding is not too picky about the temperature, 22 to 29 degrees is not a problem, it is no problem to temporarily heat up to 31 degrees when sick, but in hot summer areas, it is necessary to pay attention to cooling.

Water quality

The overall PH value of Malawi Lake is between 7.88.6, the most suitable pH for artificial breeding is about 8, and the hardness is maintained at 10dH. Different from other ornamental fish, the fish of Sparus macrocephalus have strong tolerance to the environment, and will not immediately get sick when the environment is not suitable, but will show in the body color. Therefore, by observing the changes of body color of horse bream, we can know whether the water quality is getting worse or not indirectly.

Filter

Horse bream is usually raised in high-hardness water, so the water in the fish tank is usually very clear, and when the water is turbid, it indicates that there is something wrong with the filtration system. After checking whether the pump body works properly, whether the nitrification system collapses, and so on. Moreover, some breeders often like mixed culture of many kinds of fish, and will add fish from time to time, so that the filtration system is overwhelmed. The more common solution is to install filter cartridges and combine filtration on the original filtration system.

Note: the bream breeding technology is basically the above content, in addition, the snapper is famous for not knowing what is full, and sometimes when it is clear that it has eaten too much, it begins to defecate, and its belly is full to see that the food is coming, so breeders should be especially careful not to feed too much.
