The clown fish is a common name for the fishes of the subfamily Sparidae. It is known that there are 28 species, one from the genus Sparus, the other from the genus Sparus, which has a close symbiotic relationship with the sea anemone. The sea anemone with poisonous thorns protects the clownfish. The clown fish eats the digested residue of the anemone to form a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship. Let's take a look at how to raise the clown fish.

What kind of feed does clown fish eat?

Clown fish is omnivorous fish, artificial clown fish food is relatively simple, pellets, minced shrimp or other omnivorous bait can be, but in the first two months to add some natural astaxanthin, spirulina powder can make the fish more colorful, because the breeding farm domestication time is relatively short, if you can add some harvest insects after feeding.

What's the best way to raise clown fish?

1. Feeding environment: to raise clown fish, you need to create a comfortable and warm environment for it, find some living stones, build a small cave with a natural barrier for it, and maintain proper water flow in the cave. It is best to put an oval pebble inside the cave. Pebbles are attached to the mouth of the cave. Because clown fish and sea anemones are symbiotic, it is best to find a larger sea anemone and place it at the mouth of the hole to protect the clown fish.

2. Quarantine is like a tank: when raising multiple clown fish, try to put them into the tank at the same time. When the clown fish is bought back, it is necessary to carry out quarantine first. After confirming that there is no problem, it can be put into the tank. It should be noted that the suitable water temperature for clown fish is 26 ~ 27 ℃, the specific gravity of sea water is 1.022 ~ 1.023, the ph value of sea water is 8.0 ~ 8.5, and the hardness of water is 7 ~ 9 degrees. Try to adjust the water quality and water temperature to this range.

3. Adapt to feeding: after the clown fish arrives in the new environment, it may take 2 to 3 days to adapt. There is no need to feed the clown fish these days. After the adaptation period, let the clown fish open its mouth. First, feed it with harvest shrimp and slowly convert it into a thin piece of feed. When it is completely stable, pellets, minced shrimp or other omnivorous bait can be used.

4. Light control: if clown fish are raised in a bare tank, the current must be lowered at night so as not to disturb the rest of the clown fish and affect their development. And be sure to give it enough light before it grows to an adult. At this time, the fish grows faster, and insufficient light can easily affect its development.

Treatment of common diseases of clown fish

1, tuberculosis: clown fish tuberculosis is very common, in vitro disease, there will be some massive light cloud spots on the skin. And the disease in the body, there is yellow damage in the viscera. Treat the diseased fish as soon as possible and isolate them. Tetracycline solution was used for medicine bath and UV sterilizer was used to disinfect the water body of the aquarium.

2. Vibrio disease: Vibrio disease is a common disease of clown fish, with pale spots on the skin, loss of appetite, slow movement, fins and body bleeding. Sulfonamides can be used for treatment. Put 1 chloramphenicol for every 18 liters of water to make the fish live in the treatment tank for a week, change half of the water every day, and keep the water temperature until it is cured.

3, columnar disease: columnar disease, also known as vertical scale disease, the onset of the state of fish scales erect, the body edema, this disease is caused by columnar bacteria, bacteria from the injured site into the fish and the disease, the treatment is the same as vibrio disease.

4. Bacterial Gill disease: the virus is myxobacteria, which belongs to Gran positive bacteria. The disease is characterized by most cortical tissue ulcers, Gill hyperemia and Gill rot. The disease is easy to occur when the water temperature is higher than 28 ℃, the pH in the water is too low and the content of organic matter is too high. The treatment needs to isolate the diseased fish and use 50 mg / L chloramphenicol to treat the medicine bath, which can be cured in 7 days.

5. Canker: canker is caused by a gram-negative bacteria with rotten tail and broken fins, mostly caused by unclean substances in food or water. Neomycin and chloramphenicol medicine bath is used for treatment, 50 mg / L for 7 days.

6. Septicemia: the symptoms of septicemia are skin ulceration, bleeding, eyeball opacity and prolapse of the anus, with a mortality rate of more than 80%. It usually occurs when the feeding density is too high in summer or when the oxygen content decreases, and there is no specific medicine at present. Once isolated in time, the diseased fish can be fed with furazolidone or soaked with drugs containing antibiotics.
