Substrate: good breathable substrate; branches: 10cm long flowering branches, leaving 2 leaves cut off 1stroke 2; cuttings: cutting from May to October, leaving the branches 1stroke 3 in the substrate, the whole in the water basin; maintenance: preservation in a cool and ventilated place; transplanting: branches planted in potted soil with substrate, normal breeding after slow seedling.

1. Prepare the matrix

Coarse vermiculite or river sand, perlite and slightly acidic sandy soil can be selected if the matrix is loose and permeable. Planting containers with holes in the bottom, you can use plastic bottles, etc., to facilitate drilling at the bottom.

2. Select branches

Select the one-year-old branches that have flowered, cut the branches around the 10cm, and leave 2 leaves. If the leaves are too large, they can be cut off properly, reduce water evaporation and photosynthesis, store nutrients for cutting and improve the survival rate of cuttings. Branches should retain more than 2 bud nodes, and new buds will grow from here after potting.

3. Cutting process

The cutting time can be carried out from May to October, and the survival rate can be ensured when the temperature is kept at 20-25 ℃. Before cutting, insert the branch in the center of the substrate, place the branch in the hole, leave 1 / 3 in the substrate, and gently press the matrix around the branch with finger belly. The cuttings were watered thoroughly, and the small pots after planting were placed in a water basin with a water depth of 1-2cm.

4. Maintenance and management

A few more cuttings can be cut at a time, and the cuttings can be stored in a cool and ventilated place. Since there is no rooting, it is not necessary to apply fertilizer at this time. After 30-40 days, the observation basin is covered with white roots, and when the branches gradually grow new buds, the plant will survive.

5. Transplant

When the sun is not as strong as in the evening, fill the flowerpot with soil, insert a hole in the center, plant the branches with matrix in the pot soil, cover a layer of thin soil above the root, slow the seedlings for 2-3 days, and then they can be placed in the sun for normal maintenance.
