Neon fish breeding time

Neon fish enter the stage of sexual maturity when they are from six to eight months old, and the spring and autumn season is the best time for artificial reproduction. When breeding, choose the one with a body length of about 5 cm as parent fish.

Neon fish breeding environment

The water for reproduction requires PH5.6~6.8, which is slightly acidic and the water temperature is 25 to 26 degrees Celsius. The breeding tank should be placed in a place where there is no bright light and no direct light, and brown silk and other spawning attachments should be placed in the tank. A fish tank of 600mm, 200mm, 200mm is recommended.

Breeding method of neon light fish

At dusk, neon parent fish are placed in a breeding tank according to a male-to-female ratio. The parent fish usually spawn in the morning, and the eggs are small and transparent. Each pair of parent fish can lay about 120 eggs. After spawning, neon female parent fish should be fished out and raised separately.

Neon light fish hatching management

Neon fish fertilized eggs need to be attached to the fish nest to hatch, so the breeding tank should be put into golden grass or brown silk, can also be laid at the bottom of the box. The fertilized eggs can hatch the larvae after about 24-36 hours, and can swim and feed after 3 days. The young fish grow very rapidly, reach sexual maturity in about 5 months, and can reproduce many times a year.
