Tadpoles are frogs, toads, salamanders, salamanders and other amphibians larvae, amphibians for an initial stage of ontogeny, most of the tadpoles are with the mouth into a row of horny teeth scraping algae for a living, but if the water happens to have earthworms, beetles and other small animal carcasses, will also eat in groups, let's take a look at tadpole breeding technology!

early growth management

1. Tadpoles do not feed for food within three days of hatching, relying on nutrients brought from egg yolk to maintain their lives. Early feeding will lead to their death. After three days, the activity of tadpoles increased obviously, and they began to feed when the operculum was completely formed. They were fed regularly according to the standard of feeding one egg yolk per ten thousand tadpoles, and some natural plankton in water, such as daphnia and algae, were added appropriately.

2, just hatched tadpoles, weak body, sensitive to the external environment, especially water temperature, water quality, light. When the water temperature is lower than 20℃ or higher than 30℃, the dissolved oxygen in the water is insufficient, and the pH value is higher than 8 or lower than 6, it will affect the growth of tadpoles and even cause death. Therefore, in the water quality management requirements: fine water flow, fresh and pollution-free, water temperature maintained at 20~29℃, pH 6~8.

With the change of external temperature, adjust the depth of water in time, generally 10~15 cm, change the pool water once a day. The light can be indoor natural light or outdoor diffuse light under the awning, and direct sunlight should be avoided. After 10 days of growth and development, the body length of the tadpole can grow to 1~1.5 cm.

anagen management

1. After 10 days, tadpoles eat more food, grow faster, tadpoles begin to look for new food, but their digestive function is still not strong, at this time the quality of feeding directly affects the survival rate of tadpoles. Therefore, feed must be supplemented in feeding to meet the needs of its growth and development, mainly with nutrient-rich paste feed, such as egg yolk, corn flour, No. 4 flour, supplemented by tender algae and so on. Bait can be put into the day or night time, once a day, but to be timed. The feeding amount is generally one egg yolk per 1500 tadpoles per day.

2. By careful rearing, tadpoles can reach 2 cm in length at 20 days old, with light brown body color, milky white patterns on their backs and obvious black V-shaped patterns at the junction between their bodies and tails. 10~20-day-old tadpoles in the management requirements to keep the pool water clean, to prevent poisoning, do once a day to change the pool water, water depth of 10~20 cm is appropriate, at the same time the pool water should avoid direct sunlight.

metaphase management

1. The digestive function of tadpoles in the middle stage of growth is constantly enhanced. In order to promote the development of tadpoles 'digestive tract as soon as possible and adapt to the biological characteristics of "herbivorous" in a specific stage of amphibians, tadpoles after 20 days of age should be fed with plant feed and algae, such as duckweed, in addition to feeding paste.

2. The feeding management of tadpoles in the middle stage of growth is relatively simple. At first, plant food is the main food, supplemented by animal food, and gradually transitioned to animal food. The increase of animal food will accelerate the metamorphosis of tadpoles, and plant food can promote their individual growth. Therefore, it should be mixed feeding at ordinary times.

3, management should pay attention to ensure that the pool water is clean, free from pollution, remove the bait residue in the pool every day. Feeding density of 300~500 per square meter is appropriate, so tadpoles can grow normally, to 50 days old, some tadpoles grow hind feet. The survival rate of tadpoles can reach 95% at this period, and if the water temperature is low, the period will last longer.

anaphase management

1. The late growth stage is the key period for tadpoles to transform into young frogs. Tadpoles grow hind limbs and forelimbs at this stage, and transform from aquatic to amphibious. About 50 days old, the body length is more than 4 cm, hind limbs grow, forelimbs begin to grow about 2 weeks after hind limbs grow (65 days old), tail begins to be absorbed after forelimbs grow, at this time stonefrog tadpoles stop foraging and enter metamorphosis stage.

2. In addition to feeding enough feed in the later stage of growth, a small amount of animal-based live bait feed should be added. In the management to achieve grading feeding, shallow fresh water (shallow water only about 3 cm water level), water and land half, landing convenience, dim light, quiet environment. It takes about 10 days for tadpoles to enter metamorphosis stage and the metamorphosis rate of tadpoles entering metamorphosis stage can reach about 95%.

Tadpole management considerations

1. Tadpoles should be raised in different grades. Tadpoles of the same age should be graded according to individual size once a month to facilitate unified feeding management. Rationally master the feeding density, group and combine in the grading process, and feed in separate ponds with appropriate density of individuals at the same level.

2. Feed should be of various varieties and high quality, and the reasonable feeding amount should be grasped correctly. It should not be too little. It should be fed once a day at fixed points, and the feeding amount should be balanced each time, and gradually increase appropriately with the age. In the peak season of tadpole feeding, or before and after metamorphosis, feeding management should be done more strictly to prevent the occurrence of various diseases or unnecessary losses due to environmental conditions.

3. The tadpoles hatched in early stage should be strengthened to promote their metamorphosis in the same year. Tadpoles hatched in late stage should be fed with reasonable amount, so as not to make them abnormal in that year, and let tadpoles overwinter to reduce mortality. Generally, tadpoles spawning and incubating in May ~ July can metamorphose in July ~ September, and tadpoles reproducing and incubating after August ~ September can metamorphose into young frogs only after overwintering to April of the next year.
