The rattlesnake gets its name because of the vibration of a string of horny rings at the end of its tail that can make a loud sound for a long time so that the enemy does not dare to approach or be scared away. It is so poisonous that it can kill the person who has been bitten. And rattlesnakes are born with fangs that can be injected with poison, but there are also great natural enemies in nature. Let's take a look at what the natural enemies of rattlesnakes are.

King snake

The king snake, also known as the emperor snake, is a snake of the family Serpidae. It is named because it feeds on other snakes. King snakes, whose food includes rattlesnakes and copper-headed snakes, are immune to the venom of rattlesnakes and copper-headed snakes, and sometimes even kill each other. The Scarlet King Snake is a small species of the southeastern United States that feeds on lizards. The more robust desert king snakes in the wild also devour rattlesnakes of the same family.

Walking cuckoo

The walking cuckoo is a bird of the family Azaleae, its tail is often cocked up, it is not handsome but very funny. Although it is a bird, it can only glide for a short distance. It is very good at running fast. It runs very fast in the wilderness of Texas and New Mexico. It can run more than 500 meters per minute. The cuckoo has a big appetite and mainly feeds on insects, lizards and even rattlesnakes.

Snake carving

Snake carvings, also known as crested eagles, snake eagles, snake eagles, white-bellied snake eagles, crested snake eagles, crested snake eagles, etc., are large and medium-sized eagles, living in deep mountains, high and dense forests, enjoying activities in woodlands and forest edges, hovering and flying high in the air, issuing whistling calls. Feed on snakes, frogs, lizards, etc., as well as rats and birds, crabs and other crustaceans.

Cymbals

Cymbals are animals with long bodies, long tails and short limbs. They mainly eat snakes and hunt frogs, fish, birds, rats, crabs, lizards, insects and other small mammals. The snake is the natural enemy of the snake, not only has the ability to fight with the snake, but also has its own resistance to venom. Of course, due to the limitations of size and physical strength, they are more than enough to deal with venomous snakes such as Agkistrodon halys and cobras, but when they encounter more ferocious opponents such as king cobras or pythons, they are difficult to deal with, and the best way is to run away.

Wild boar

Wild boar's food is very miscellaneous, as long as it can eat anything, including grass, fruit, nuts, roots, insects, eggs, rodents, carrion and so on. Wild boars are not only good at preying on rabbits and mice, but also on scorpions and snakes, such as Agkistrodon halys, vipers, and five-step snakes, although scientists have not agreed on whether wild boars are immune to toxins. But wild boars do not seem to suffer from eating these dangerous foods.

Red-tailed marmoset

The red-tailed mackerel is one of the largest members of the genus Artemisia distributed in North America, distributed in various topography and at all elevations, including deserts, grasslands, coniferous forests, deciduous forests, tropical rain forests, farmland and urban areas. Opportunistic in predation, the food mainly includes a variety of small mammals, birds and reptiles, such as rodents, grouse, quails, waterbirds, bats, shrews, snakes, lizards, crustaceans, insects and so on.
