Zi Zhi Lianhua is a succulent plant of the genus Sedum, which is native to Hokkaido, Japan, with beautiful leaves and beautiful leaves, so it has a certain ornamental value. The potted plant should not be placed next to the computer TV and does not have the function of radiation protection. Planting indoors will lead to the growth of Zi Zhi Lianhua, so please put it in a sunny environment. Let's take a look at how Zi Zhi Lianhua is raised.

The growth habit of Zi Lianhua

The seed has a strong habit of holding lotus flower, which is light-loving, cold-resistant and moisture-tolerant. It begins to dormancy when the summer temperature exceeds 30 degrees. It grows rapidly in spring, summer and autumn, but the appearance is not beautiful, and the best ornamental effect can only be achieved in the dormant state. It can survive in severe cold and survive safely as long as it is not less than 28 degrees below zero in winter.

The breeding method of Zi Lianhua

The seed holding lotus flower is mainly propagated by cuttings. during the growing season, pull down the small seedling holding lotus flower and put it on the surface of the soil, and it will take root quickly. of course, the seedling should be a little bigger, so it is easier to succeed. Leaves alone can also reproduce, and when they grow up, they can also take root and grow into new plants if there is enough water on the soil.

How to raise Zi Lianhua?

1. Soil: the soil holding Lianhua generally chooses peat mixed perlite and pumice with a ratio of 1:1:1. In order to isolate the contact between the plant and the soil surface, and to make it more breathable, it can be covered with clean river sand with a size of 3 to 5 mm. The thickness of the sand layer is about 5 mm.

2. Illumination: Zi Zhi Lianhua is a light-loving plant, especially in the growing period, preferably all-day sunshine. And in the hibernation period, it is necessary to shade the sun to prevent prematurely breaking the dormancy period.

3. Moisture: Zi holding Lianhua to water is generally dry before watering, do not water. In hot summer, it is usually watered 4 to 5 times a month, which is not watered thoroughly to maintain the normal growth of the plant. Too much watering in summer is easy to rot. If the temperature is less than 5 degrees in winter, the water will be cut off gradually. Keep the basin soil dry below 3 degrees and keep it not less than 20 degrees below zero as far as possible.

4. Diseases and insects: Zi Zhi Lianhua rarely gets sick, but we need to pay attention to insects, especially root pink scale, because it is impossible to distinguish whether there is root powder scale from the appearance. When it is found that there is a pink scale, it is necessary to throw away the plants with insects, throw away all the pots and soil, and re-cut, otherwise it will affect other healthy plants.
