Reticulate grass, also known as Feidao flower, silver netting grass, etc., is a perennial evergreen herb, light posture, small and exquisite plants, small potted plants in foliage plants, very common in European and American windowsills, balconies and bedrooms, especially suitable for potted viewing, deeply loved by people, let's take a look at the breeding methods and matters needing attention!

Growth habits of Rhizoctonia lanceolata

Herba Rehmanniae likes high temperature, humid and semi-overcast environment, so it belongs to high temperature plant and is particularly sensitive to temperature. The suitable temperature for growth is 18-24 ℃. The winter temperature is not lower than 13 ℃, and the normal growth can be maintained at 13-16 ℃. When the temperature is below 13 ℃, some leaves begin to fall off, but the stem will not be frozen. If the room temperature rises to more than 18 ℃, new leaves can continue to germinate. If the temperature is below 8 ℃, the plant will die by freezing. During the growing period, higher air humidity is needed, and scattered light is the best, and sandy loam rich in humus should be used.

The Propagation method of Reticulate Grass

The main results are as follows: 1. Cutting: reticulate grass can be propagated all year round under suitable temperature, and the cutting effect is the best when the temperature is slightly higher from May to September. The cuttings are cut from the stolons that grow out of the pot, which are about 10 cm long and generally need to have 3 or 4 stem nodes. Remove the lower leaves and insert them into the sand bed after slightly drying. They can take root 7-14 days after planting, and generally transplant into the pot 1 month after planting.

2. Ramet: for the plants with dense stem and leaf growth, many adventitious roots have grown on the stolon nodes. As long as the stolons are cut off with roots above 10 cm, they can be directly potted and restored in the semi-shade for 1-2 weeks and then transferred to normal maintenance.

3. Tissue culture: leaves and stem tips were commonly used as explants. After disinfection and sterilization, the leaves were cut into 8mm long and inoculated on MS medium supplemented with 2 mg / L 6-benzylaminoadenine, 2 mg / L naphthalene acetic acid and 2 min 4ml / L naphthalene acetic acid. The leaves bent after 30 days, and cluster buds grew after 20 days. After cutting, the cluster buds were transferred to 1/2MS medium plus naphthalene acetic acid 0.1mg / L medium. Adventitious roots grow in about 1-2 weeks, and complete plants are formed.

The culture method of reticulate grass

1. Lighting: reticulated grass prefers medium-intensity light and avoids direct sunlight, but its shade tolerance is also strong. It's best to put it by a bright window indoors.

2, temperature: the reticulate grass likes to be warm, and the suitable temperature for growth is 18 degrees Celsius. The cold tolerance of the reticulated grass is poor. If the air temperature is lower than 12 degrees Celsius, the leaves will suffer cold injury, and the plant may die at about 8 degrees Celsius.

3. Watering: you must be careful when watering reticulated grass. If the potted soil is completely dried, the leaves will roll up and fall off, and if it is too wet, the stem will rot easily. On the other hand, the root system of reticulate grass is relatively shallow, so it is necessary to water the topsoil when it is dry, and the amount of watering should be slightly controlled, and it is best to make the cultivated soil slightly moist.

4. Fertilization: for plants with exuberant growth, nitrogen-based compound fertilizer with a concentration less than half of the normal concentration can be applied every half a month.

5. Basin soil: the sandy loam rich in organic matter, aeration and water conservation is the best, and it is also good to plant with peat, which helps to keep the roots moist.

Matters needing attention in reticulate grass culture

The main results are as follows: 1. The common diseases of reticulate grass are leaf rot and root rot. Leaf rot is sprayed with 1000 times of carbendazim wettable powder, and root rot is sterilized with 1000 times of streptomycin.

2. The insect pests of reticulate grass are harmful to shell insects, red spiders and snails. Scale insects and red spiders are sprayed with 1000 times of omethoate EC, and snails can be caught manually or trapped by snails.

3. Reticulate grass needs to strengthen air convection in summer so that the temperature in its body can be released. It is recommended to put it in the semi-shade or give it 50% shade, spray it properly, 2 or 3 times a day.

4. Reticulate grass needs to be moved to a brightly lit place for maintenance in winter. if it is raised outdoors, it can be wrapped in a film to survive the winter, but the film should be opened every two days when the temperature is high at noon to let it breathe.

5. When applying fertilizers that are not absorbed by leaves, it is appropriate to carefully open the leaves to avoid fertilizer contact with the leaves.
