Growth habits of Caibao pineapple

Caibao pineapple prefers warm, moist and sunny environment, not cold-resistant, shade-tolerant, and afraid of strong light. The soil is better with fertile, loose and well-drained rotten leaf soil, and the winter temperature is not lower than 12 ℃. It likes warm, moist and bright light, and the suitable temperature for growth is 20: 27 ℃. It should be planted in a loose, breathable medium rich in humus.

The Propagation method of Caibao Pineapple

Caibao pineapple is commonly used for ramet propagation, which is best when changing pots in spring, holding out the mother plant, cutting off the offspring on both sides, potted separately, shading and spraying water on leaves, the pot soil should not be too wet, and it should be transferred to normal management after taking root.

How to raise colourful pineapple?

1. Soil: potted Caibao pineapple should choose the substrate with good drainage and the mixed substrate of peat, perlite and sand for large-scale production, the proportion of which is 1 cubic meter of peat: 4 to 5 kilograms of perlite: 0.15 cubic meter of sand, and its PH value is kept between 5.5 and 6.5. If you can put a small amount of rotten chicken manure, cake powder or bone meal and other base fertilizer in the bottom of the basin, it will grow better.

1, Illumination: color bud pineapple habits like semi-overcast, should prevent the hot sun exposure, placed in semi-shaded or bright windows, indoor. The demand for sunlight of Caibao pineapple is not very large, when the sun is exposed to too much time, it will produce part of the leaves yellowing, and then the flower tip is a little dry. If cultivated outdoors in spring, summer and autumn, it should be properly shaded, especially 70% shading in summer. Direct sunlight will make the leaf temperature higher than the air temperature. If the leaf temperature is too high, there will be burns and scorched leaves, which will fade the bud and slow the leaf growth.

2. Temperature: the optimum growth temperature of Caibao pineapple is from 20 ℃ to 30 ℃, the highest temperature should not exceed 35 ℃, the lowest temperature is 14 ℃, and freezing injury may occur at any time when it is lower than 10 ℃. It is best not to put it under the heater in winter, because in that case, it will be particularly dry and will be roasted, just like a person cannot always stand next to the heater and get hot easily.

3. Watering: the potted soil of Caibao pineapple should be slightly dry, that is, the surface of the soil should be slightly dry, that is, the surface of the soil should be dry by 1cm or 2cm, and then watered for the second time, it is not too wet, and it is easy to soak the root. There is a leaf tube at the root of the leaf of the pineapple family, and the leaf tube has a sink. It is necessary to ensure that there is often water in the tank, which can not be cut off. After a period of time, say, about ten days, the water in the leaf tube should be replaced to avoid smelly water. Usually, you can also spray some foggy water on the surface, leaves and flowers.

4. Humidity: the optimum air relative humidity of Caibao pineapple is 70% to 80%, not less than 50%, because maintaining a high air humidity in the cultivation environment is the key to the successful cultivation of Caibao pineapple, so foliar spraying should be carried out all the year round.

5. Fertilization: Caibao pineapple is the growing season from April to September every year. Liquid fertilizer should be applied every two weeks, fermented organic fertilizer can be applied, 0.1% urea and 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution can be sprayed on both sides of leaves, and some extremely thin liquid fertilizer can be injected into the leaf tube, which can be absorbed by its basal scales, and the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is 10: 15: 20.
