Pruning rose to separate seedlings and branches can be called a master.
In the process of raising rose, we always encounter the question of flower friends asking how to prune. Although there have been articles written before, many flower friends are still not clear about the pruning of blind branches, and they are also confused about which ones to cut. So, rose pruning, if you learn to choose branches, you can "start".
The premise is that your rose is not a bare rod commander, but more branches, with the main stem, not only branches, but also weak branches, blind branches, and what we need to clean up are weak branches and blind branches.
1. Distinguishing branches
For some sturdy branches, they can grow without pruning, but for some weak branches, they are not easy to blossom and will snatch nutrients, so they need to be pruned off, so that nutrients are supplied to the main branches and some strong branches to blossom.
For some blind branches that only grow leaves but do not blossom, you should know how to distinguish them, so when it comes to the question for beginners, do I have to cut the seedlings I have just bought? This does not need to be cut immediately, you can wait for the seedling to stabilize and ease up, start to grow, and then clean up these weak branches.
Some new seedlings may be relatively thin, so at this time you should first raise seedlings, slow seedlings, with rose special organic liquid fertilizer, diluted 500 times watering roots, once a week, seedlings grow fast, and strong branches.
Then prune this process after growing up. Weak branches are not necessarily blind branches, but blind branches must be very thin, so in the process of pruning, we will gradually distinguish them.
As for how to cut it? As long as it is cut off close to the bottom of the branch, the root of the rose had better be well ventilated, so that it is not easy to get sick, and it is possible to have two leaves as long as it is well ventilated.
When I cut flowers, I usually look at the lower branches of the flowers to see if there are any bud spots. I usually choose to use a knife 1-2 inches on the bud points. This is easy to distinguish. I have a habit of cutting flowers when I see that the flowers are almost ready to bloom. Because flowering consumes nutrients, especially when there are unopened buds, I choose to cut off the flowers that have already opened, so that other buds have nutrients to bloom.
2. Distinguishing seedlings
Next, let's talk clearly about what needs to be pruned. The seedlings just bought may have very thin branches. In this case, don't prune them. When they grow up, they can trim off the blind branches that already have black spots.
For the seedlings that have been raised for more than a year, they should be pruned properly, and those with few buds should be checked for blind branches and weak branches for pruning. There is the pruning of the plant type, the rose plant type had better not be high on one side, the branch size and so on is the best, first of all, the plant type will not be very weird, and secondly, the nutrient distribution will be uniform to the growth of flowers.
What about the cut branches? It is estimated that many florists will feel distressed to throw it away, so let's make the best use of it, select the sturdy branches for cutting, throw away the ones that are too fresh, too young, too thin and short, or use retting fertilizer. With so many branches cut off, if you are a novice, you can practice your skills, and if you already have experience, you can just add a lot of seedlings, and grafting is also a good choice when you grow up.
