Four seasons osmanthus is one of the most common sweet-scented osmanthus, a variety of sweet clover sweet-scented osmanthus, the biggest difference with other varieties is that it blossoms all the year round, so the four seasons osmanthus is also called laurel, but its flower fragrance is also the weakest among many sweet-scented osmanthus, almost can not smell the fragrance, let's take a look at the four seasons sweet-scented osmanthus tree planting technology!

Growth habits of Cinnamomum chinense

The four seasons like warm and humid climate, there is a certain degree of cold resistance, but not resistant to severe cold. Like light, but also resistant to shade, in the seedlings should have a certain degree of shade. The demand for soil is not high, like the slightly acidic soil with high dryness and rich humus, especially the sandy soil with deep, fertile and moist soil and good drainage. Do not tolerate drought and barren soil, avoid saline-alkali soil and waterlogged land, planted in poorly drained wetlands, will cause poor growth, root rot, leaf shedding, and eventually lead to the death of the whole plant.

Propagation technique of Cinnamomum chinense

1. Twig cuttings: select excellent mother plants with good varieties, exuberant growth and no diseases and insect pests. When cutting cuttings, cut them into 2cm, keep 1cm leaves at the top, cut the top into a flat mouth, cut the base into a bevel, and the slope should be smooth to facilitate cutting and rooting. After disinfection, the cuttings were soaked in rooting powder for 10 minutes and then cut. After the cuttings were finished, the cuttings were immediately watered to cover the film and sunscreen or grass curtain. 2000 times carbendazim solution was sprayed once every 7 days, and 0.2% urea or potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution was sprayed every 10 days.

2. High-altitude striping: the high-altitude crimping method is mostly carried out before sprouting in spring, can also be carried out during the summer growth period, and has a good effect in the plum rain season. Cut or ring peel the branches born in 2012, fill them with rice bran ash, moss, culture soil, perlite and other substances to cover the wound, often keep moist, but the moisture is not easy to be too much, after rooting can be cut off from the mother plant.

3. Rootstock grafting: the rootstocks used for grafting Siji cinnamon mainly include privet, white wax, clove, tassel and so on. The disadvantage of privet as rootstock is that the root system is too developed, it is not suitable for pot planting, and it blossoms late. The disadvantage of white wax as rootstock is that it has a short life span, and it is easy to shed leaves and blossom less in winter. When cloves are used as rootstocks, the trunk is thick and thin, and the tree is top-heavy. Tassel rootstock has good affinity, drought and cold resistance, strong adaptability, long life, and the age of the tree can be more than a hundred years. Therefore, the most suitable rootstock for grafting propagation of potted sweet-scented osmanthus is tassel.

1. Soil: Siji cassia is suitable for growing in loose, fertile and well-drained acid soil. It is generally prepared with 60% broad-leaf humus, 25% coniferous humus, 10% river sand or fine furnace ash, and 5% fermented pig manure or chicken manure.

2, display: Gui Xi light of the four seasons, indoor cultivation should be placed in a sunny and ventilated place, and the light should be kept at 8 to 12 hours a day.

3. Temperature: Gui likes to be warm in the four seasons. It generally grows well at 18 ℃ to 25 ℃, blossoms more and smells fragrant. If it is less than 15 ℃, it will be semi-dormant and flowering less. 3 ℃ to 5 ℃ can survive the winter, but cannot blossom.

4. Humidity: the four seasons cinnamon should not only keep the basin soil moist, but also not over-waterlogging. When watering, you should see dry and wet, and avoid stagnant water, so as not to rot roots or make leaves fall off. Especially in flowering, water should not be too much, so as not to cause bud drop and affect flowering.

5. Fertilization: four Seasons Gui likes fertilizer. During germination and budding, more diluted fertilizer and water containing phosphorus and potassium should be applied to make branches and buds grow strong, especially a few days before flowering. Applying some diluted fertilizer and water will make the flowers big, colorful and fragrant.

6. Insect pests: the main pests of Siji cinnamon are red spider and mulberry white scale, which can be sprayed with pesticides.
