Wang Xuehong, chairman of HTC, met with Chen Deming, president of the Association for Relations across the Taiwan Strait (ARATS) on the mainland yesterday. In response to the topic of HTC's film export, she said that HTC is the only mobile phone factory produced in Taiwan and will resume in the future.

Chen Deming visited HTC on the morning of the 1st and was received by CEO Zhou Yongming. Wang Xuehong was not in China at that time, but Chen Deming had a breakfast meeting with Wang Xuehong yesterday morning. Chen Deming, president of the Association for Relations across the Taiwan Strait (ARATS), will conclude his visit to Taiwan today and have a breakfast meeting with Wang Xuehong, chairman of HTC.

The economic growth forecast for this year has been revised to 1.74%, and the economic growth for next year will also be revised down. Shi Sumei, chief accountant of the General Accounting and Accounting Office of the Executive Yuan, said that it was mainly due to many export revisions, and even the export contraction of HTC this year also had an impact.

In response to this issue, Wang Xuehong responded to the media yesterday that HTC is the only mobile phone factory that has achieved success only in Taiwan. As long as the people of Taiwan continue to support HTC in the future, I believe they will certainly be able to recover and work harder in the face of world challenges.

The General Accounting Office also clarified yesterday that there is no intention to blame the private sector or a single company for the overall and directional problems of insufficient domestic investment and increased competition in the export industry.
