Cypress is a general term for cypress plants. Cypress contains Platycladus orientalis, Sabina vulgaris and other genera. Artificial cultivation covers the whole country several times, and it is an excellent landscaping tree species. Resin, tree oil, fruit, branches, leaf seeds, roots and bark can be used as medicine, with high planting value. Let's take a look at cypress planting technology.

Ecological habits of cypress

Cypress belongs to the phylum of gymnosperms, mainly distributed in the northern and southern hemispheres, like light, but seedlings and young trees have a certain shade tolerance, generally grow on the shady side of the mountain, more resistant to cold, poor wind resistance, drought resistance, like moisture, but not resistant to water flooding, barren, can grow on slightly acidic to slightly alkaline soil.

Propagation method of cypress

Cypress seeds can be preserved for about 2 years, generally harvested in November, dried and stored in the sun to guard against moisture. In spring, the seeds were soaked in 50-55 ℃ warm water for about 1 hour, then sowed, and then germinated after 2 weeks. Sowing or sowing can also be sowed. The nursery should be leveled and irrigated beforehand. When the topsoil is slightly dry, it should be sowed on demand or sowed after the water seeps down, and then covered with soil. It can also be sown in autumn and emerge in the following spring.

Planting technique of Cypress

Smaller seedlings should be selected when planting, usually not higher than 1.5 meters. When planting, bury deeply, water less, and use a wooden stick to support the master. Water again a week later, and the stick will be removed after a month. The first leaves of the cypress are needle-like leaves, followed by scaly leaves, and all are scaly leaves after 2 years. Generally speaking, the growth rate is faster in the young and young stages, moderate and slow in adulthood, and slower in the old trees.

Control of cypress diseases and insect pests

1. Platycladus orientalis aphid

① uses natural enemies such as Coccinella septempunctata, Coccinella axyridis, solar wasps, aphid wasps, ash-eating aphid flies, lacewings and aphid-eating gadflies. When the occurrence of spring is not serious, try not to apply medicine, but spray clear water to wash the insect body to protect the reproduction and development of natural enemies in the future.

② medicament control: when the occurrence is serious, spray 25% Aktai water dispersible granule or 20% Kangfuduo concentrated solvent 5000 times. About 20 generations occur every year, which is large and harmful all the year round. The control can be controlled by spraying 1.2% bitter tobacco EC 1000-1500 times, or spraying 10% imidacloprid wettable powder 2000 times.

2. Platycladus orientalis red spider

① can be washed with clean water or washed with 0.1-0.3 degree stone-sulfur mixture without affecting the growth and ornamental of trees.

② sprinkled the powder evenly on the bottom of the ditch, covered with soil and watered thoroughly. Or in the curved ditch (or open pier) irrigate 100 times the 40% omethoate EC, the dry diameter is 2-3 kg per centimeter, seal the pier after infiltration, the efficacy is long, the effect is good, and does not pollute the air, does not harm natural enemies, spray with acaricides such as 800x 20% triclofenac EC or 2000 times 73% paracetamol EC. When spraying, we must grasp the initial period, spray evenly, and strive to spray once in early May and early October every year, that is, we can basically control the mite damage.

3. Leaf blight of Platycladus orientalis

① sweeps the diseased leaves under the tree in autumn and winter to burn and dye the source. Eliminate the pathogen of wintering and reduce the first invasion.

From May to August, ② was sprayed with Bordeaux solution once every two weeks. Special attention should be paid to strict control of primary infection. When initial infection centers were found, blockade should be carried out to prevent spread.

The cypress forest with too dense ③ should be thinned properly to make the forest ventilated and transparent so as to reduce the disease conditions.

4. Platycladus orientalis caterpillar

Agricultural control of ①: strengthen forest management, prune and cut in time, peel the bark around and burn it centrally during the overwintering period, and can be caught artificially when the larvae occur.

② physical control: according to the phototaxis of adults, set up black light to trap and kill adults.

③ biological control: there are many kinds of natural enemies of this insect, when the occurrence is not large, try not to use chemical control, pay attention to the protection of natural enemies, such as the release of parasitic wasps.

④ chemical control: when the larva density is high, it is appropriate to treat early, use aircraft low-capacity spraying 25% thiazuron 3 to control larvae, 23: 45 grams per mu, spray 10.5kg, the control effect can reach 98%. Aircraft control should be carried out in sunny days, under the condition of wind force below grade 3, artificial spraying of 25% thiazuron 3, 11500 times solution can control larvae, the effect can reach more than 90%. General control should be carried out at the age of 2 to 4 years old, and a small amount of pyrethroid pesticides can be added according to the need.
