The yellow duckling will be on display in Keelung Port for 50 days from the 21st, spanning the Lunar New year holiday. It is expected that the surrounding children's toys will be popular. The Bureau of Standards and Inspection of the Ministry of Economic Affairs will check ahead of time and randomly buy 12 pieces of "yellow duckling" shaped children's toys in Keelung area for testing.

The Bureau of Standardization and Inspection pointed out that the inspection standard is based on a series of national standards such as CNS 4797 "Toy Safety". The test results show that the parts of "flammability", "heavy metal content" and "electric drive" all meet the requirements of the national standard.

However, three of them had plasticizer content between 0.54% and 15.2%, exceeding the 0.1% limit of the national standard CNS 4797, and one failed the "physical" tension test, resulting in small objects.

In addition, there are eight discrepancies in the marking and checking part, including two toy names and material marks that do not match the physical samples, one is lack of commodity inspection marks and the Chinese label does not comply with the regulations, and the contents of five labels do not comply with the current toy commodity inspection regulations.

The Bureau of Standardization and Inspection said that if the quality test does not comply with the inspection standards and the label is not complete, the manufacturer shall recover and correct the toy goods within the time limit, and will impose a fine of not less than NT $100, 000 and not more than NT $1 million within the time limit.

Failure to attach the Commodity Inspection Mark may involve evasion of inspection, and those who have been verified to evade inspection will be fined not less than 200000 yuan but not more than 2 million yuan in accordance with the law.
