During weaning, piglets were separated from sows, and the feed of piglets changed from whole-milk diet to dry feed. However, during this period, piglets were in a period of strong growth and development, but their digestive function and disease resistance were weak, and the diet changed sharply, coupled with environmental changes, which caused strong stress to piglets and was prone to weaning syndrome. Piglets infected with weaning syndrome are characterized by poor appetite, digestive disorders, diarrhea, growth retardation and so on.

Piglets

The preparation of diets suitable for digestive physiology of piglets is an effective way to overcome early weaning syndrome. However, environmental factors also have a great influence on the stress degree of weaning piglets. Creating a small environment with suitable conditions can ease the weaning stress of piglets. At present, intensive pig farms in China are generally weaned at the age of 3-4 weeks. Weaning is a great turning point in the life of piglets.

First of all, it is necessary to maintain stable environmental conditions. When weaning, drive the sow away and leave the piglet in the original column so that it can live in a familiar environment. After weaning, factors such as feeding staff and feed should be kept relatively stable. When the spirit, appetite and feces of the weaned piglets are normal, the feed and feeding system will be changed gradually, and the mixed bar will be carried out.

Secondly, do a good job of cold prevention and heat preservation. The poor adaptability of piglets to low temperature, such as weaning in low temperature season, will aggravate the cold stress of piglets, so special measures should be taken to prevent cold and keep warm. Piglets should be kept in a closed pigsty. The suitable temperature for piglets at the age of 15-30 days is 22-25 ℃. During weaning, the ambient temperature can be appropriately raised to 25-30 ℃, and bedding grass or hemp bags are spread on the floor of pig houses. Heat preservation can take electric hot plate, infrared light bulb, general light bulb and so on according to the actual situation. At the same time, it is necessary to block the wind tunnel, prevent the wind and keep the room dry. The ambient temperature lower than the optimum temperature of piglets will lead to diarrhea, fever, bronchitis, pneumonia and other infectious diseases.

Third, pay attention to piglet diarrhea. Within one week after weaning, piglets are prone to diarrhea, especially early weaned piglets. At this time, you should change the mat grass frequently, clean it frequently, and disinfect the pigsty regularly. But at the same time, attention should be paid to keep the pig house dry, and the humid environment can easily aggravate piglet diarrhea. When piglets are trained to defecate at a fixed point, if piglets defecate everywhere in the pigsty, it will cause dampness and pollution in the pigsty, and it is easy to spread diseases, which is not conducive to the growth of piglets. Therefore, piglets must be trained to defecate at a fixed point. This work must be done when weaning, otherwise piglets will be more difficult to train. You can leave some feces at the fixed point when cleaning the pigsty, or wet the place with water, and the piglets will slowly develop the habit of defecating at a fixed point.

Finally, the weather changes. The weather changes suddenly, especially when the humidity and air flow outside the house increases, the air humidity and air flow inside the house also increases, such as low temperature and high humidity weather, it will produce bad stimulation to piglets. The thermoregulation function of piglets is not perfect. Before 20 days of age, piglets lack gastric acid in gastric juice and have poor resistance to pathogenic microorganisms, which is easy to cause digestive tract diseases. At this time, special attention should be paid to the sealing of piggery, strengthen heat preservation, and ensure adequate feed intake. For example, weaned piglets purchased from other farms have more serious stress and must be cared for more carefully.
