[introduction]: how to grow Maka? Maka has always been popular with health care workers in the health care market, so how to grow Maka? Let's take a look at Maka's planting techniques.

* how to grow Maka

Maka, also known as Maca, Marka, commonly known as MACA in English, is a biennial herb of the genus Cruciferae. Because of its rich nutrients and special functions, Maka has attracted worldwide attention. In the field of Maka development, the market makes more use of Maka's "dual-use of medicine and diet" to develop a variety of health foods and nutritional supplements, which has a good market prospect in the world. Maka's planting techniques are as follows:

1. Region

Makaxi cold and humid climate, more hardy, adaptable, suitable for planting in cold and cold mountain areas at an altitude of 2700-3200 meters. Avoid high temperature and waterlogged stagnant water, it is better to avoid continuous cropping land where cruciferous crops have not been planted for many years.

2. Land preparation

The sandy loam with general fertility and no cruciferous crops in the previous crop should not be planted with vegetable gardens and plots with high fertility. Ploughing twice, before the last ploughing, the rotten high-quality farm manure was applied for 37.5-45 days per hectare, and 75-1500 kg of common calcium was evenly distributed on the surface. When ploughing, it was buried in the soil, raked flat and ditched 2 meters wide to make a sunny bed for planting.

3. Colonization

From the middle of May to the first ten days of June, when there are 7-10 true leaves, the seedlings are taken in stages and transplanted with soil. Before taking seedlings, properly water the seedling bed. When taking seedlings, insert the shovel under the root system, carefully take out the seedlings, use cable digging pond transplanting, plant row spacing 20X20 cm, plant 1 plant per pond, 15-180000 plants per hectare. When transplanting, the seedlings must be exposed to the soil surface and watered thoroughly.

4. Water and fertilizer

After the planting survived, according to the soil moisture in the sunny morning timely watering, no irrigation before rain, pay attention to drainage throughout the growth period to avoid waterlogging on the border. According to the seedling condition, the N, P, KZ compound fertilizer was applied 2 times and 3 times per hectare. During the growing period, the soil was ploughed and loosened for 3-4 times, and the weeds in the field were pulled out artificially.

5. Disease and pest control

Maka generally has no disease, and the main pests are aphids. 120 grams of 10% imidacloprid wettable powder is used per hectare, and 450 kilograms of water is sprayed and controlled.

6. Keep the seed

Maka is a self-pollinating crop, using a single plant to leave seeds, can better show the species. Maka, which accords with the characteristics of this variety, neat shape, smooth skin, few fibrous roots, shortened root head and no diseases and insect pests, was selected as the seed plant. At the beginning of March, it was transplanted to the arranged seed land, plant spacing 10~20cm, row spacing 30cm, compaction soil when planting, and watering the fixed root water after planting. Topdressing once during the growth period, and pay attention to the control of aphids at flowering stage.

In early June, when the pod first appears yellowish brown, spread the film between the rows in time, press it with stones, choose a sunny afternoon, gently pat the plant, shake off the seeds, bask slightly, store them in a well-ventilated bag and store them in a ventilated, cool and dry place.

7. Harvest

From late November to early December, the leaves of most plants turned yellow and faded, the fleshy roots were fully expanded, and the base was round and obtuse. After manual harvest, remove leaves, remove soil and fibrous roots, clean with water, cut into slices and dry in the sun to become commodities, processing and packaging listed for sale.

As Maka's growth conditions are extremely harsh, not only in the plateau of more than 3000 meters, but also the temperature difference between day and night is more than 30 degrees Celsius, where Rain Water is abundant, this unique growth condition limits its cultivation. The soil layer of the plateau is relatively thin, and Maka absorbs a large amount of soil nutrients in the process of growth. at the same time, Maka also belongs to the cruciferous family, so it must adopt the method of rotation, that is, the soil needs to rest and recuperate after each harvest. In general, if the soil is not fattened and improved for seven years, it can be replanted after seven years, so the yield is very low.

According to modern scientific research, Maka has a variety of nutrients, such as protein, amino acids, polysaccharides, vitamins and so on. In addition, Maka also contains natural active ingredients with special effects, such as macarene, macaramide, mustard oil, alkaloids, mineral trace elements, which can enhance immunity, improve sexual function, regulate endocrine, anti-fatigue, anti-oxidation, anti-tumor and other pharmacological effects. Clinically, it can be used to improve and treat sexual function, improve climacteric syndrome, treat anemia, enhance physical strength, reduce blood lipids and so on.
