Bamei Mutton Sheep is an improved mutton sheep breed in China, which was originally introduced from abroad and crossed with domestic fine wool sheep. it is resistant to rough feeding, strong disease resistance, wide adaptability and good fattening effect of lambs. The genetic performance is stable and suitable for half-grazing and half-house feeding. In recent years, Bamei mutton sheep not only provides an excellent breed for the development of China's mutton sheep industry, but also promotes the breeding of mutton sheep.

Bamei mutton sheep

Bamei mutton sheep like dry, do not like wet environment, poor tolerance to cold, wet, dirty environment, easy to suffer from a variety of diseases. Therefore, in the construction of sheep houses, we should choose places with high terrain, sunny, dry, good ventilation and shelter, and easy drainage. Sheep pens should have the function of preventing heat and cold, and can be built in or near the residential courtyard to facilitate management and care. When the scale is large, it is best to build a sheep-raising community far away from the village to facilitate epidemic prevention.

Farmers should provide reasonable feed for the breeding of Bamei mutton sheep, according to the feeding standards, combined with the growth and development characteristics of fattening sheep, determine the diet composition, dietary supply or supplementary feeding quota of mutton sheep, and combined with the actual weight gain effect, adjust in time. Highlight the economic benefits, do not blindly pursue the maximization of daily gain, especially under the condition of house feeding and fattening, the maximum weight gain of mutton sheep is often based on high concentrate diet, and the maximization of daily gain of mutton sheep does not necessarily mean that the best economic benefit can be obtained.

Therefore, when setting the expected fattening intensity, we must take the best economic benefit as the only yardstick. Bamei mutton sheep love cleanliness, paying most attention to clean drinking water, forage, feed and utensils, and would rather starve and thirst for polluted water and forage than drink and eat. In order to raise Bamei mutton sheep well, it is necessary to plant suitable forage and prepare enough forage for sheep. Forage is the material basis for fattening mutton sheep. Fattening mutton sheep must feed grass first and plant all kinds of high-quality forage grasses such as hn-mc superior alfalfa, hn-mc superior rye, hn-mc superior grain amaranth and so on. The forage is generally stored through silage and microsilage, and the green straw should be cut short for silage in time after the forage is harvested in autumn.

In the breeding and management of Bamei mutton sheep, farmers should do a good job in breeding hygiene and disinfection. Daily feed and drinking water must be kept clean. Do not feed feed that is moldy, spoiled, toxic or mixed with foreign bodies. Feeding utensils are always kept clean. Sheep houses and playgrounds should be cleaned and disinfected regularly. We must persist in self-breeding and self-support. If it needs to be introduced from other places, it should be quarantined and observed for 10 to 15 hours and confirmed by a veterinarian that there is no disease before you can join the group. Regular preventive injection, to be injected with foot-and-mouth disease, sheep pox, sheep four prevention and other vaccines, injection should be serious, count one by one, and do a good job of leak detection and replenishment. Deworming should be done regularly, and the sheep should be dewormed once a year in spring and autumn.

After feeding in the sheep house, the range of movement becomes smaller, which is easy to cause dampness and bad environment in the enclosure, which often leads to the occurrence of parasitic diseases, so we should pay attention to the environmental hygiene, ventilation and moistureproof of the sheep house, and do a good job in the prevention and treatment of parasitic diseases such as scabies. Adhere to the health examination, in the daily feeding and management, pay attention to observe the spirit, appetite, exercise, breathing, feces and other conditions of each sheep, find abnormal timely examination, if there is a disease, timely treatment.
