Causes and control countermeasures of diarrhea in cattle with poor appetite and fatigue for a long time
Cattle
Fungal diarrhea:
Mildew feed can easily cause fungal gastroenteritis in cattle. Diseased cow spirit, loss of appetite, ruminant reduction or even stop, continuous diarrhea, fecal stench, mixed with foam, mucus and blood, but the body temperature does not rise, the use of various antimicrobial agents is ineffective. Treatment: take 0.9% saline 2500-4000 ml each time, 2-3 times a day, and provide fresh green succulent feed. Heavy patients need intravenous injection of 5% glucose and sodium chloride injection 1000-3000 ml, VC2-4 grams.
Toxic diarrhea:
Cattle fed with sour silage and distiller's grains are easy to cause rumen acidosis. The sick cow has depressed spirit, reddish conjunctiva, loss of appetite or even abandonment, dull eyes, stumbling gait, and hind limbs kicking in the abdomen. Serious patients can not afford to lie on the ground, molars groan, muscles tremble, showing a coma or even collapse. The initial discharge of gray thin feces, and then turned to green foam water diarrhea, if not timely treatment of the final hematochezia death. Treatment: take 50-100g of lime, add 1000-1500 ml of water, fully stir and settle for 5-10 minutes, take the supernatant, once, 3 times a day for 2-3 days. Severe patients need intravenous injection of 10% calcium gluconate injection 200-400 ml.
Unclean diarrhea:
Cattle can easily cause bacterial gastroenteritis due to eating dirt and sewage. Diseased cattle have depressed spirit, elevated body temperature, reduced appetite, ruminating and even waste, continuous diarrhea, initial defecation such as spray, late defecation fatigue, mixed with foam, mucus and blood. Treatment: 60 grams of garlic, mashed, plus appropriate amount of water, 3 times a day; in severe cases, intramuscular injection of chloramphenicol, 5-10 mg per kilogram of body weight, combined with internal administration of sulfadiazine, 0.2 grams per kilogram of body weight for the first time, maintenance dose of 0.1 grams, twice a day.
Herbivorous diarrhea:
Cattle eat too much budding grass or green material, resulting in gastrointestinal dysfunction and diarrhea, thin turquoise feces, good spirit and appetite of sick cattle, normal body temperature. Prevention and treatment: light patients only need to feed an appropriate amount of hay or straw and control the intake of young grass and green materials to recover. For heavy ones, take 50-75 grams of ginger, mash and stir-fry it, add 50-100 milliliters of liquor, once, 3 times a day, for 2-3 days.
Overexerted diarrhea:
Cattle lose weight after the winter, suddenly bear heavy service after the beginning of spring, then muscles, bones and viscera are easy to be injured. It is characterized by lying on the ground all day, fatigue, loss of appetite or abstinence, persistent diarrhea for a long time, mixed with foam, mucus and blood in feces, but body temperature does not rise. Prevention and treatment: take sappan 50-75 grams, water fry waiting temperature, add chopped fresh iron leaves 50-75 grams, once, 3 times a day, 3-5 days can be cured.
