Impatiens is an annual herbaceous flower of the genus Impatiens of the family Impatiens. The whole plant is divided into six parts: roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds. It is also known as Goldilocks because its flower heads, wings, tails and feet are as warped as a Phoenix. Let's take a look at these six components of Impatiens.

Root

The main characteristic of balsamina balsamina is that the main root is thicker and longer than the lateral root, the lateral root is produced from the main root, the primary and secondary are distinct, and the stem has most fibrous roots.

Stem

Impatiens stems stout, fleshy, erect, unbranched or branched, glabrous or sparsely pilose when young, base diameter up to 8 mm, lower nodes often inflated.

Leaf

Leaves alternate, lowermost leaves sometimes opposite, leaf blade lanceolate, narrowly elliptic or oblanceolate, 4-12 cm long and 1.5-3 cm wide, apex acute or acuminate, base cuneate, margin sharply serrate, often with several pairs of sessile black glands toward base, both surfaces glabrous or sparsely pilose, lateral veins 4-7 pairs, petiole 1-3 cm long, with shallow grooves above, with several pairs of stipitate glands on both sides.

Flowers

Impatiens flowers solitary or 2-3 clusters in leaf axils, without total pedicel, white, pink or purple, single or double, pedicel 2-2.5cm long, densely pilose, bracts linear, located at base of pedicel, lateral sepals 2, ovate or ovate-lanceolate, 2-3 mm long, labellum deep navicular, 13-19 mm long, 4-8mm wide, pilose, base acute growing 1-2.5 cm. Upper petal orbicular, cucullate, apex retuse, abaxial middle rib with narrow keel, tip with apiculate, wing with short handle, 23-35mm long, 2-lobed, lower lobe small, Obovate-oblong, upper lobe suborbicular, apex 2-lobed, outer margin with auricles near base, stamens 5, filaments linear, anthers ovoid, tip obtuse, ovary fusiform, densely pilose. The florescence is from July to October.

Fruit

Impatiens capsule is broadly fusiform, cleft at touch when ripe, 10-20 mm long, pointed at both ends, densely pilose.

Seed

Impatiens seed most, spherical, diameter 1.5-3 mm, dark brown, mature shell burst, the seed will be popped, self-sowing reproduction, so the seed must be collected in time.
