The lily is known as the "cloud fairy". Its appearance is elegant and pure, the flower appearance is elegant, the leaf is green and beautiful, the stem is graceful, and it is deeply loved by all, so do you know how to raise potted lilies? Let's take a look at it together.

Growth habits of lilies

The main results are as follows: 1. Lily likes the sandy soil which is moist, light, fertile, rich in humus, deep soil layer and excellent drainage, and most varieties are suitable to grow in slightly acidic to neutral soil. Specifically, there are the following points:

2. Lily likes a cool and humid environment, and places with plenty of sunlight and slightly shady environment are more suitable for lilies. Avoid drought, avoid extreme heat, its cold resistance is slightly worse.

3. The growth and flowering temperature of lily is 16024 ℃, and the growth is almost stopped when it is below 5 ℃ or above 30 ℃. The plants grow normally only when it is above 10 ℃, and stagnate when it exceeds 25 ℃. If the night temperature in winter is lower than 5 ℃ and lasts for 5 to 7 days, flower bud differentiation and bud development will be seriously affected, and flowering will be delayed or even blind flowers and flower cracks.

4. Lily likes fertile soil, humus is deep, hard clay is the most taboo, and slightly acidic soil with good drainage is better, the soil pH value is 5.5-6.5.

Propagation methods of lilies

1. Scale propagation: in autumn, the healthy, disease-free and hypertrophic scales were soaked in 1 ∶ 500 carbendazim or carbendan aqueous solution for 30 minutes, then dried in the shade and dried at the base down. The scales were inserted into the seedbed with fertile sand loam with a density of 3~4x15 cm, shaded and moisturized by covered grass. After about 20 days, 1 or 2 bulbs will be formed at the cut at the lower end of the scale. The bulb can weigh up to 50 grams for 2 ~ 3 years, need about 100 kilograms of scales per mu, and can plant about 15 mu in the field.

2. Bulblet propagation: many new bulbs can grow on the stem axis of the old bulb of lily. The bulbs on the disease-free plants are collected and sown according to the row spacing of 25 cm × 6 cm after disinfection. After one year of cultivation, some of them can reach the seed ball standard (50g), while the smaller ones will continue to be cultivated for one year and then be used as seeds.

3. Bulblet propagation: bulbs are harvested after maturity in summer, mixed with wet yarn and stored in a cool and ventilated place. From September to October of that year, beads were sown on the seedbed with a row spacing of 12 cm and a depth of 3 cm, covered with 3 cm fine soil and covered with grass.

4. Seed propagation: mature seeds will be collected in autumn. Sowing seeds in the seedbed can produce bulbs in the next autumn. This method has the advantages of long time, changeable species and less use in production.

Culture methods of potted lilies

1. Cultivation time: potted lilies should be carried out from September to October.

2. Soil: the cultivated soil should be mixed with rotten leaf soil, sandy soil and garden soil at the ratio of 1:1:1, and the basin bottom should be fully mature compost and a small amount of bone powder as base fertilizer. The planting depth is generally about 2-3 times the diameter of the bulb. Pot soil should not be too wet, otherwise bulbs are easy to rot, potted lilies change pots once a year and replace them with new culture soil and base fertilizer.

3. Fertilization: lilies do not have high requirements for fertilizer, usually at the beginning of spring growth and the early stage of flowering. Some foreign growers believe that lilies need more nitrogen and potassium fertilizer, and should be applied every 10 to 15 days during the growing period, while the supply of phosphate fertilizer should be limited, because too much phosphate fertilizer will cause withered and yellow leaves. Phosphate fertilizer can be increased by 1 to 2 days at flowering stage. In order to enrich the bulb, the residual flowers should be cut off in time after flowering to reduce nutrient consumption. Watering only needs to keep the pot soil moist, but it should be watered properly during the peak growing season and dry weather, and often sprinkle water around the flowerpot to improve air humidity.

4. Temperature: the suitable temperature for lily growth is 12-18 ℃. In winter, even if the temperature drops to 3: 5 ℃, it will not die of cold.

5, lighting: Lily has the characteristics of cold resistance, light, fertilizer resistance, fear of humidity, lack of sunlight, long-term shade will affect the normal flowering. However, they have a wide adaptability to the region, and can be planted or potted in the north and south.

6. Turn the flowerpot once a week in lily peanuts for a long time. Otherwise, the plant is easy to be too long, affecting the appearance.
