Xu Jiefu said that the cooperation between the two companies to introduce liquefied natural gas is cheaper than that of petroleum and petrochemical, which is conducive to industrial development, power generation and transportation on outlying islands.

Shi Yanxiang said that the signing of the agreement between the two companies is a milestone in cross-strait natural gas exchanges, symbolizing the implementation of cross-strait energy supply, and hopes to overcome various problems.

Kinmen has been approved as a low-carbon demonstration island, through clean liquefied natural gas supply, become a high-quality wine and tourism island.

Shen Shihong pointed out that Taiwan promotes low-carbon sustainable homes, and Kinmen and Penghu are low-carbon demonstration islands. The signing of a contract between the two companies will help Kinmen promote the low-carbon island project. There is no problem in introducing LNG technology, and administrative problems need to be overcome. It is hoped that the introduction of LNG from the mainland in Kinmen will be promoted quickly and successfully.

Li Wosi, head of Kinmen County, said that cross-strait cooperation to create a clean and low-carbon plan in Kinmen is conducive to the development of Kinmen, and Kinmen is moving towards a low-carbon island, which is in line with the direction of promoting Kinmen, and he supports and welcomes it.

According to the plan, the liquefied natural gas supplied by Fujian New Energy Company will be liquefied at a low temperature of minus 160 degrees Celsius, be loaded in steel cylinders and transported by cargo ship to Jinmen Baoluo Port, then unloaded to the gas station for storage, and then gasified and transported to users by pipeline. in the initial stage, the supply industry, gin companies, and future power plants and households will be supplied.
