Causes of soft rot of pepper

Pepper soft rot is easy to be prevalent in low-lying fields, high density, many borer pests or continuous rainy weather, and high humidity. The pathogen overwintered in the soil with the disease residue and became the source of infection at the beginning of the next year. The pathogen invaded from the wound through irrigation water or Rain Water spatter in the field, and the pathogen could spread through tobacco green worm and wind and rain after infection, so that the disease could spread in the field.

Incidence regularity of soft rot in pepper

Pepper soft rot is a bacterial disease, the pathogen overwintered in the soil with the disease residue, spread in the field with Rain Water and irrigation water, and became the primary infection source in the field the following year. Control methods of soft rot of pepper

1. Crop rotation: rotation with non-Solanaceae and Cruciferae vegetables for more than 3 years, cultivating strong seedlings, timely planting, reasonable close planting, paying attention to ventilation, plastic film mulching, timely removal of stagnant water in the field after rain, reducing air humidity. Remove the diseased fruit in time and take it out of the field and bury it deeply to reduce the source of re-infection in the field.

2. Insect control: choose a spray of 2.5% Kung Fu EC 5000 times, 4.5% cypermethrin 3000 times, 2.5% deltamethrin 2000 times, 20% fenvalerate 2000 times, etc.

3. Disease prevention: choose a spray of 50%DT fungicide 500x or 72% agricultural streptomycin soluble powder 4000 times after rain.
