China Airlines sets up Costa Rican cargo destination

The China Airlines American cargo Center held a presentation meeting on the morning of the 18th (local time) for the first Costa Rican cargo destination. Tang Jiren, representative of the Republic of China in Colombia, was invited to attend. In his opening speech, Tang Jiren expressed the hope that through this new freight destination, more Colombian goods such as flowers, coffee, and fresh food can be exported to Taiwan, so as to enhance bilateral economic and trade cooperation between Taiwan and Colombia. At the same time, he hopes that the increasing shipping exchanges will encourage more Colombian people to go to Taiwan for business and sightseeing.

Subsequently, the Economic Section of the representative office gave a brief introduction to the economic and trade situation of the Republic of China, high-quality goods and bilateral trade between Taiwan and Colombia, and the representative office prepared information on various national conditions at the meeting for Colombian businessmen participating in the meeting.

Tang Jiren also hosted a banquet on the 17th to welcome Wei Shizhong, general manager of the China Airlines American Freight Center, and others. In addition to reiterating that the representative office will actively assist Taiwan businessmen in providing various services and business information needed by Taiwan businessmen to expand the Costa Rican market, it is also hoped that as China Airlines opens a Costa Rican freight destination to promote bilateral trade between Taiwan and Colombia, the company will be able to open up the South American market through Colombia in the future.
