Mainland brand ZTE Mobile networking device shipping target, 2017 to strive for the level of 100 million. Lu Qianhao, ZTE's mobile strategic development minister, pointed out that Taiwan factories account for about 30% to 40% of ZTE's PCB supply chain, and it is hoped that the two sides of the strait will work together to create greater business opportunities.

In the era of Mobile Internet 2.0, Lu Qianhao, ZTE Mobile Strategic Development Minister, pointed out that the three key words of ZTE Group this year are "big data", "ICT integration" and "precision marketing".

ZTE has two major operational goals this year. The first is to increase the number of mobile networking devices from 42 million in 2013 to 60 million this year, and to reach the level of about 100m in 2017.

Second, ZTE used to focus on models priced below $200. this year, ZTE hopes to build models with prices of $200 to $400. last year, ZTE launched the high-end brand Nubia to enter the global premium market.

Lu Qianhao pointed out that ZTE works closely with Taiwan manufacturers. For example, 80 per cent of the parts of a ZTE mobile phone come from Taiwan manufacturers. Taiwan manufacturers account for about 30 to 40 per cent of ZTE's overall PCB supply, which mainly supplies ZTE's high-end models, such as PCB wiring, OEM, HDI, soft boards, and so on. Luohua and Huatong are one of ZTE's important supply chains.

In the past, Taiwan and the mainland worked together to act as solid manufacturing partners for European and American brands, but now there are many examples of cooperation between mainland brands and Taiwan supply chains. In 2013, ZTE's smartphone shipment ranking rose to sixth in the world, accounting for 3.9%, with a gap of less than 1 percentage point compared with Huawei, LG and Lenovo, which ranked third to fifth, and performed quite well in the world. Taiwan manufacturers are also expected to benefit from the growth trend.
