Celery is a kind of vegetable that likes cold and cool. It has exuberant vegetative growth, high yield and good quality in cool climate and short-day conditions. In most parts of China, autumn is the most suitable for the growth of celery. Therefore, celery in the open field is mainly cultivated in autumn, and the area is the largest, but the adaptability of celery is strong. As long as the suitable varieties are selected and some corresponding measures are taken in planting, they can also be cultivated in spring, summer and winter. At present, a considerable number of regions and cities in China have realized the four cultivation methods of spring, summer, autumn and winter, and basically formed a cultivation system that can be produced and supplied annually.

Planting time of celery

1. Planting time of spring celery

In the north, seedlings were raised in the protected field from January to March, planted in the open field from March to April, and harvested from May to July. In the Yangtze River basin, March is the suitable sowing time, sowing too early, the seedlings receive a certain low temperature, it is easy to pass through the vernalization stage, causing immature bolting, sowing too late, and later into the hot summer, affecting the yield and quality.

2. Planting time of summer celery

After breaking frost in spring, it was planted in the open field from June to early July, and was harvested and put on the market from August to September. In the hot and rainy season, summer celery has poor growth, many dead seedlings, low yield and small planting area.

3. Planting time of autumn celery

In the north, the seedlings were sown from June to early July, planted from August to early September, and harvested from October to November. In the Yangtze River basin, the seeds were sown from early July to early September and harvested from October to December, while those sown late were harvested before bolting from March to April of the following year. It can be cultivated in the Yangtze River valley and the south, sown from September to November and harvested from December to April of the following year. It can be cultivated in protected areas in the north.

After watching the planting time of celery, the following editor is simply introducing the planting technology of celery to you.

Planting techniques of celery

1. Sowing and raising seedlings

Choice of ① seedbed: celery likes cold climate, and its seedbed should choose a site with loose and thick soil, fertile, convenient drainage and irrigation, and shade. 100kg lime per mu of soil should be deeply turned into the soil and burned too white.

② soil preparation wow: border width of about 1 meter, 2000 kg of human and animal manure per mu of soil, after drying, the border surface will be crushed and leveled, and 1 kg of carbofuran will be added in the soil preparation process to eliminate earthworms.

③ soaking seeds to promote germination: pack the seeds in a cloth bag, tie up one end of the long rope and dip them in the well water for 48 hours, then hang the seeds about 0.5m above the water surface to accelerate germination, then germinate in 3-4 days. When more than 80% of the seeds have germinated, they can be sowed. If there is no well, they can be accelerated in the ground hole or in the refrigerator freezer, that is, after soaking in cold water for 48 hours, take out and dry the surface moisture. Wrap it up and put it in the freezer for 24 hours.

⑤ sowing timely: sowing time: summer celery, around Greater Heat (late July); autumn celery, the End of Heat (late August)-White Dew (early September); winter celery, the Autumn Equinox (late September) Frosts Descent (late October)} spring celery, Rain Water (late February) stinging (early March).

⑥ sowing rate: 500g per mu of field, and 2kg of celery seeds can be sowed in 1 mu seedbed. When sowing, mix the germinated seeds with old bran ash or dry soil and sow them evenly. After sowing, gently pat the border surface and sprinkle water with a spray can. Then, cover the plastic arch shed in winter and cover the sunshade net in summer to cool down and prevent rain.

2. Seedbed management: generally good weather is watered once every evening, and sunny, hot and dry weather is watered once every morning and evening. After finishing the seedlings, start topdressing, apply light dung and water every 7 days, and pay attention to the control of aphids.

3, whole soil fertilization: celery cultivation should choose sandy loam rich in organic matter, water and fertility conservation, 150kg quicklime per mu should be turned into the soil, baked in the sun, and turned into a border soil about 1.67m wide, 1D0 kg per mu, 200kg of human and animal dung, 20kg of urea, 40kg of phosphate fertilizer, 1015kg of potash fertilizer, shallowly turned into the soil, leveled and fine, idle for 4 days.

4. Planting: when the seedling age reaches 5060 days and the seedling height is 1215cm, the seedling can be planted. Insecticides should be sprayed before pulling seedlings (such as killing the enemy, etc.). 4 hours before pulling seedlings, water should be watered to make the bed soil fully moist. The planting row spacing is 16ml 26cm, the cluster spacing is about 1cm, each clump has 5 plants, while planting, the pressure pocket water is poured.

5. Field management: after seedling planting, before survival, the seedling should be watered every morning and evening, and pay attention to check the seedling to ensure the whole seedling. Manure water should be applied frequently after planting to keep the soil moist. Before the closure, shallow and medium ploughing was done 3 times. In the high temperature and drought season, the early growth period should cover the sunshade net or build a frame to cover the wool string shade on the greenhouse or on the small arch shed. In case of special drought, ditch irrigation can be carried out in the morning and evening when the water temperature is low. Do not fill the upper compartment with water. After it is moist, the water should be drained quickly to maintain the normal growth of celery.

6. control of diseases and insect pests: celery diseases and insect pests mainly include spot blight and spot disease, which can be controlled by Dysen zinc, carbendazim or chlorothalonil, and the main insect pests are aphids. Can be killed by enemies or dimethoate.
