After Datong obtained the "bid Rent case for installing Solar Photovoltaic Power Generation system on the Roof of New Taipei City Public buildings" in 2013, Datong obtained the tender rent case for 2014. According to the estimates of the Xinbei Municipal Government, the total rental capacity of solar photovoltaic systems installed on the roofs of public buildings in New Taipei City in 2013 and 2014 is 6MWp, which can generate 6 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, reduce 3780 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually, and provide annual electricity consumption for 1706 households and one-year carbon adsorption capacity for 8 Daan forest parks.

From last year to this year, Datong is about to complete the operation of 20MWp solar photovoltaic power plants in New Taipei City, Nantou, Taichung, Pingtung, Tainan and Kaohsiung, fully invest in Taiwan's renewable energy, and strive to save energy and reduce carbon.
