Tiannanxing likes moist, loose, fertile soil and environment, and its tubers are not freeze-resistant. Artificial cultivation should be intercropped with tall stalk crops, or choose shaded forest, green, and valley humid environments. The soil is better than loose, fertile, well-drained yellow sand, mainly using tubers to propagate, but also seed reproduction. Let's take a look at the breeding methods of Tiannanxing.

Seed propagation

At the end of autumn, select the mature seeds of that year, soak them in the pot for 2-3 days, then wash them with clean water and dry them. You can also put the recovered seeds in the sun to make their moisture evaporate, shake them out after the seeds are loose, and sow them while they are wet. The sowing row spacing is 12cm to 15cm. After sowing, it can be covered with soil, suppressed and watered for about 15 days. During the period from Grain Rain to the Beginning of Summer the following year, the seedlings can be transplanted when they grow to 10cm, and 2.5kg of seeds are needed per mu.

Tuber propagation

During the harvest from October to November at the end of autumn, the medium and small tubers were selected and buried and preserved in the cellar or in the fine sandy soil in the house. Grain Rain planted before and after April of the following year, opening holes according to row spacing of 20 cm and plant spacing of 15 cm, hole depth of 4 cm to 6 cm, 1 stem tuber per hole, bud head upward, covering fine soil 3 cm, and then watering, tuber 30kg / mu was needed, and the yield of proprietary medicine per mu could reach 500kg.

Tissue culture

The basic method of tissue culture of Tiannanxing is similar to that of Pinellia ternata, except that different media are selected and the proportion of hormones is adjusted.
