1. Zhuxi County, Hubei Province: Zhuxi County is located in the hinterland of the north slope of the eastern section of the Dabashan Mountains, adjacent to Shaanxi and Chongqing. It is one of the main producing areas of the famous "Qin Gui Chuan Lian" and the earliest "hometown of Huanglian" recognized by the state. 2. Shizhu County, Chongqing: Shizhu County is located in the east of Chongqing, the south bank of the Yangtze River and the heart of the three Gorges Reservoir area. It is famous for its long cultivation history, large planting scale, high yield and good quality. In November 2001, it was designated as "demonstration planting Base of Chinese High quality traditional Chinese Medicine (Coptis chinensis)" by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 1954, "Shizhu Coptis was listed as national medicine".
