Angelica sinensis is a perennial herb whose roots can be used as medicine and is one of the most commonly used traditional Chinese medicines. It is mainly distributed in Gansu, Yunnan, Sichuan, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Hunan, Hubei, Guizhou and other places. Angelica sinensis can also be used in halogen products ingredients, its main feature is to deodorize and increase flavor, increase meat products and medicine flavor.

Altitude requirement

At that time, it was suitable for planting in areas with higher elevations. Therefore, the seedling sites in Minxian and Zhangxian are generally selected above 2400 meters above sea level, and the transplanting sites are often selected in areas with an average elevation of about 2200 meters above sea level. Planting Angelica sinensis at too low altitude has low yield and poor quality, and it is easy to bolt in advance.

Soil environment

Angelica sinensis is a fertilizer-loving crop. It is suitable for sandy loam with deep soil layer, loose fertile soil, good drainage and high humus content. The increase of fertilizer application during transplanting can promote the yield increase at that time, generally choose fertile black soil to raise seedlings, apply a large amount of mountain ash agricultural fertilizer as base fertilizer, and combine nitrogen, phosphorus and inorganic fertilizer when transplanting. Nitrogen is the main component of protein, which can promote the growth of nutrients and increase the leaf area, so as to improve the ability of photosynthesis and increase the accumulation of organic matter; phosphate fertilizer can strengthen the development of roots and improve the ability of absorbing nutrients and water; potassium fertilizer can promote the transport and storage of photosynthesis to the roots, accelerate the succulence of roots and improve the quality of Angelica sinensis. Therefore, the application of nitrogen fertilizer in the early stage of nutrition production and phosphorus and potassium fertilizer in the later stage can significantly improve the yield and quality of Angelica sinensis.

Temperature condition

Angelica originated in the alpine area around Dangchang in Minxian County. The temperature requirement is relatively strict, which is suitable for cold and cold climatic conditions. At that time, under the condition of suitable moisture, the emergence time of seeds shortened with the increase of temperature. When the average temperature was 12 ℃ and 14 ℃, 15 Mel seedlings emerged in 20 days, and when the average temperature was 20 mi 24 min, 7 Mel seedlings emerged in 15 days. When the average temperature is above 14 ℃, the aboveground and underground parts grow rapidly, and when the average temperature is more than 16 ℃ in August, the growth rate slows down. After September, when the temperature drops below 13 ℃, the above part begins to age, while the root grows faster, which is the main period for the growth of medicinal materials.

Water demand

The drought resistance and waterlogging resistance of Angelica sinensis are very poor, which indicates that the requirement of water condition is relatively strict, and the soil water content of about 25% is the most suitable for Angelica sinensis growth. Therefore, abundant rainfall is one of the conditions for high yield of Angelica sinensis. When the soil water content exceeds 40%, waterlogging will occur, and Angelica is prone to root rot. When the soil water content is less than 13%, there will be drought hazards and supplementary irrigation will be needed. Therefore, timely irrigation and drainage is one of the main means to obtain high yield at that time.

Light condition

It belongs to the development type of alpine long sunshine, so it grows well, develops rapidly and is easy to smoke under the condition of long sunshine, which is the characteristic of Angelica sinensis growth. In order to reduce bolting in advance, seeds are often selected on shady slopes or flat land and covered with grass at seedling stage. However, the lack of light in the mature period can not achieve high yield. Therefore, appropriate slope aspect, slope and planting density are selected to adjust the light in order to facilitate the development of root system.
