Anemarrhena asphodella is also called hairy anemarrhena. It is cultivated all over China. It has strong drought resistance and cold resistance. It belongs to perennial herbs. It can grow in arid barren hills, deserts and wasteland. It is the first choice for greening mountain areas and wasteland. It can be sown in all seasons of the year, but mainly in spring or summer. Anemarrhena asphodella is a common Chinese herbal medicine widely used in society.

Land selection and preparation

Select sunny, well-drained, loose soil humus or sandy loam, apply decomposed manure 2000-3000 kg, cake fertilizer 40-50 kg, phosphorus fertilizer 30 kg per mu, evenly spread into the ground, cultivate 20 cm deep, level and make beds, bed width 130 cm.

planting method

1. Seed propagation: Anemarrhena seeds mature one after another before and after the summer heat. After harvest, thresh to remove impurities, store in a ventilated dry place for later use. Seed reproduction can be spring or autumn sown. Spring sowing in April; autumn sowing in October and November. In the finished border, 2 cm deep furrows are opened at 30-35 cm row spacing. Sprinkle the seeds evenly into the ditch, cover with soil, flatten, slightly press, and water. Keep the ground moist and sprout in about 20 days. Each acre requires about 1-1.5 kg of seeds. Autumn sowing germination rate is high, emergence neat.

2. Root division propagation: spring planting after thawing, before germination, autumn planting on the ground after the stem leaves wither. In the finished border, holes are opened according to row spacing of 30-35 cm and plant spacing of 15-20 cm, and the depth of holes is 7 cm. Cut off the residual stems and leaves and fibrous roots of the underground rhizomes of Anemarrhena asphodeloides, break the rhizomes with buds into small sections 4-7 cm long, put a section in each hole, and put the buds upward. Cover soil and water. Also can irrigate 1 big water before planting, make furrow again soil preparation to plant, but furrow surface does not overwet, prevent rot root. 90 kilograms of rhizomes per mu.

field management

After sowing, keep the soil moist and sprout about 20 days. When the seedling height is 3-4 cm, loosen the soil and weed. When the seedling height is 7-10 cm, determine the seedling according to the plant spacing of 15-20 cm. Seedling such as dry climate, should be properly watered. Anemarrhena asphodella cultivated by rootstock division grows slowly last year, so it should be watered with small water. In the second year, it grows vigorously and needs to increase the watering frequency appropriately. In the first year of root-division planting and the second year of seed direct seeding, when the seedling height is 15-20 cm, 20 kg of calcium superphosphate and 10 kg of ammonium sulfate are applied per mu. Ditch between rows, combine with loosening soil after application to bury fertilizer in soil. If no seed is needed, the scape should be cut off in time. High temperature and rainy season to pay attention to remove stagnant water.

pest control

Anemarrhena asphodeloides has strong disease resistance, so it is generally unnecessary to use pesticides for special control. The main pests are grubs, which harm seedlings and rhizomes. Control with conventional methods.

Harvesting and processing

1. Harvest

Both domesticated and wild Anemarrhena asphodeloides were harvested in spring and autumn. In spring, after thawing, before germination, autumn in the ground after the stem leaves withered to before freezing. The fresh rhizoma anemarrhenae is prepared by digging out the underground rhizome with a pick, removing the stem, leaf, fibrous root and soil. Fresh Rhizoma Anemarrhenae picked timely in spring and autumn has high drying rate and good quality. Autumn harvest is usually the best time for wild anemone. Because it is not easy to find before germination in spring, and mining after germination has a certain impact on the quality of goods. The harvest period of domesticated Anemarrhena asphodeloides is 4-5 years when it is propagated by seeds, and 3-4 years when it is propagated by rhizomes.

2. Anemone pubescens

1. Drying method. placing the harvested fresh anemarrhena on an empty ground or a platform with sufficient sunlight, beating while stacking, overturning once every 7 days, repeating the process for many times until drying, and obtaining the hairy anemarrhena. It usually takes 60-70 days.

2. Drying method. placing fresh Rhizoma Anemarrhenae on a heated kang in a drying room, stirring while baking, uniformly heating the fresh Rhizoma Anemarrhenae, taking out the fresh Rhizoma Anemarrhenae and placing the fresh Rhizoma Anemarrhenae on a drying platform for drying when the fresh Rhizoma Anemarrhenae is half dried, selecting the fresh Rhizoma Anemarrhenae with high humidity for further baking, drying the fresh Rhizoma Anemarrhenae until the fresh Rhizoma Anemarrhenae is eighty or ninety percent dry, and selecting again. After two in and two out, it can be dried. Bake should not be too hasty to prevent burning.

3. Anemarrhena meat

When the skin is freshly scraped and dried, it is the meat of Rhizoma Anemarrhenae. If the sun is sufficient, it usually takes 2-3 days to dry.
