Although the tree-shaped honeysuckle has the characteristics of natural formation, it is difficult to obtain an ideal tree shape if it is allowed to grow freely. As long as a set of scientific shaping methods are adopted, the tree structure can be made more reasonable, the branches and leaves are distributed more evenly, and the crown shape is more beautiful. The potential for increasing production is greater, and the product quality is better. Let's take a look at the honeysuckle tree pruning technology.

Upright pole seedling

After the planting of tree-type honeysuckle seedlings, affected by the planting technology and external environment, the seedlings are very easy to tilt, easy to grow into a "crooked neck" tree, affecting the beauty of the crown. In order to ensure the upright growth of the trunk, after the seedling is planted, stand a small stick or bamboo stick of about 40 cm beside the seedling to tie and fix the seedling to prevent the seedling from askew.

Except for sprouting and setting dry

The bud of honeysuckle branch is very strong, and the bud head of almost every node can germinate. The core of tree honeysuckle shaping is to ensure that the tree has an upright and obvious trunk. If the sprouts on the trunk are not erased in time, it will be difficult to cultivate a beautiful honeysuckle tree. The height of the fixed stem is 35ml 40cm, and the upper part is left with 2 bud heads as plastic belts. All the sprouts on the trunk below 35ml 40cm are erased. In the subsequent management process, once there is a bud on the trunk, it must be erased.

Select and retain the main branch

Three branches with strong growth, uniform distribution and proper planting angle were selected in the plastic band reserved for seedlings as the main branches (primary backbone branches), and all the redundant branches were removed. When the main branch is 25 cm long, it is coring to prevent the main branch from being too long and drooping, affecting the shape of the crown.

Culture lateral branches

After the coring of the main branch, 5 lateral branches will grow on each main branch, and only 3 side branches will be left for the secondary backbone branch culture of each main branch, and all the surplus branches will be removed. The secondary backbone branches were excised when the length was 15ml / 20cm, and two branches from the secondary backbone branches were left for the third grade backbone branch culture. After a year of cultivation, the tree skeleton can be formed.

Promote early success of crown

The tree-type honeysuckle can branch 5 Mel 6 times a year, which belongs to fast-growing and fast-growing tree species. As long as it is cultivated properly, it can form a high-yielding crown with a stem height of 30ml / 40cm, a tree height of 0.8Mel / 1.0m, a crown width of 0.6m / 0.8m and a final branch of 60Mel / 80s. In order to achieve this goal, in addition to the above four measures, comprehensive measures such as topdressing fertilizer, weeding, drought and waterlogging resistance and pest control must be taken to promote the early formation of tree canopy.
