At the age of 30, Sun Shihe walked out of Xiayingzi Village. Through years of hard work, his career finally achieved success. However, in Sun Shihe's heart, hometown is always a special feeling that can not be erased from his heart. Every year, no matter how busy he is, Sun Shihe will take time to return to the village for a short stay. In the process of renovating the old house, Sun Shihe saw Xiayingzi Village, which had not changed obviously for decades, and a complicated and solemn mood came to his heart for a while.

"When my father was alive, he used to say to me,'A brave man protects three villages', but I didn't know what that meant before. When I returned to the village, I saw that the place where I was born and raised was still the same. The villagers did not live well, not because they were lazy, but because they could not find work. In the process of renovating the old house, the younger generation in the village said they wanted me to help them find some work. I saw anticipation in their eyes, and I agreed without thinking." Sun Shihe said.

As promised, in order to help Xiayingzi Village completely take off the label of "backward" and live up to the expectations of the villagers, Sun Shihe put down his thriving career outside and personally returned to the village for investigation. In the investigation, Sun Shihe found that the villagers of Xiayingzi Village could not earn money only by farming land. "The cost of farming an acre of land is more than 50 yuan, the purchase of seeds, fertilizer needs more than 200 yuan, plus a lot of labor costs, from spring sowing to autumn harvest, after the grain is sold, we often have to lose money." In the long run, no villagers will be willing to farm properly." Finding the crux, Sun Shihe began to plan specific ways to help villagers become rich.

Because Luanping County has a good tradition of planting traditional Chinese medicine since ancient times, and there are many relatives engaged in traditional Chinese medicine in his family, Sun Shihe has the idea of relying on traditional Chinese medicine planting as a breakthrough point for villagers to become rich. At this time, the state issued a series of policies to support the development of agriculture and traditional Chinese medicine industry. From returning to the village at the end of 2014 to today, under the drive of Sun Shihe, Xiayingzi Village has undergone earth-shaking changes. "Traditional Chinese medicine is the quintessence of our country, but why in recent years our country's traditional Chinese medicine resources have not been well inherited, the fundamental reason is that 'traditional Chinese medicine is destroyed by medicine, traditional Chinese medicine is destroyed by seeds'. Nowadays, there are fewer and fewer wild Chinese medicinal materials, and most of the Chinese medicinal materials planted use chemical pesticides. In the long run, traditional Chinese medicine has suffered a serious blow from its roots." In addition, the family's experience strengthened Sun Shihe's determination to plant good medicine. Sun Shihe said,"My sister once visited a Chinese medicine factory in the south and found that a large number of Chinese medicines exported from the factory were returned due to excessive pesticide residues. The words of the factory director,'Fortunately, there is no standard in China', deeply hurt my heart. From then on, I made up my mind not to use a drop of pesticide for my Chinese medicine."

At present, the traditional Chinese medicine planted in Xiayingzi Village relies on insect killing lamps and sticky insect boards, and organic fertilizer is used as fertilizer. At the same time, Sun Shihe did not satisfy the traditional planting mode, but also set up intercropping of agriculture and medicine, intercropping of fruit and medicine, intercropping of medicine and medicine, and achieved success. Through the strict management of Sun Shihe and the multi-support of government departments, the demonstration area has taken shape by creating four major sectors, namely, experimental demonstration, standardized planting, origin processing, tourism and sightseeing health preservation, as well as four systems, namely, scientific and technological research and development, standardized production, quality traceability and marketing.
