When it is winter, chickens should be dewormed to avoid the death of chickens in winter. There are three common parasites in chickens: paragonimus, Taenia solium and Ascaris lumbricoides.

Preparagonimus

Paragonimus parasites in the supraluminal sac, fallopian tube and rectum of chickens. The symptoms are loss of appetite, obvious weight loss, depressed spirit, and often no yolk eggs, soft shell eggs and shell-free eggs. Sometimes eggshell fragments or a large amount of thick gray-white mucus are discharged from the cloaca, which can cause death. Hexachloroethane can be used for prevention and treatment, according to 0.3 grams of each chicken mixed into the feed, 3 times a day for 3 days.

Chicken tapeworm

Taeniasis is parasitic in the small intestine of chickens. The symptoms are dishevelled feathers, sagging wings, anemia and emaciation, dysentery or paralysis, etc., and finally die of exhaustion. Sulfur double dichloride powder can be used for treatment, which can be mixed with feed according to 0.2 ~ 0.3 grams per kilogram body weight.

Ascariasis of chicken

Ascaris lumbricoides are parasitic in the small intestine of chickens. It mainly harms chickens from 3 months to 10 months. Adult chickens are often infected with worms and generally do not show symptoms. Symptoms for chicks, chickens infected, usually manifested as pale crown, mucosal anemia, digestive disorders, mental malaise, sagging wings, feathers against the stand, resulting in emaciation and death. Treatment can be treated with trimethoprim (tetramidazole), according to 40 mg ~ 60 mg per kg body weight, mixed with feed or dissolved in water.
