The feed utilization rate of chickens in different growth stages is also different, such as low chicks and high adult chickens. There are also differences in feed utilization among individual chickens. Only various nutrients (such as energy, protein, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, etc.) meet the nutritional needs of chickens, and reach the best ratio level, in order to achieve the highest feed conversion rate. On the contrary, it will inevitably lead to the waste of feed nutrients.

Carbohydrate

Carbohydrate feed mainly contains starch and sugars, which can account for less than 70% of the dietary mixture. Corn is one of the most energetic cereal feeds, accounting for 45% of the mixture. Wheat bran is palatable and contains more protein and carbon, accounting for 5% to 30% of the mixture. Barley should not be used too much because of its high content of crude fiber, which can account for 15% to 20% of the mixture. Sorghum tastes astringent, too much will cause chicken constipation, which can account for about 10% of the mixture. Rice bran is often used as an auxiliary material and should not exceed 8% of the mixture.

Protein feed

Protein feed contains 30% 65% protein, which can account for 5% 30% of the mixture. Bean cake and peanut kernel cake are good plant protein feed with good palatability and comprehensive nutrition, which can account for 10-20% of the mixed feed. Cottonseed cake due to toxins, the dosage should not be too much, generally not more than 7% of the mixed feed. Fishmeal is the highest quality animal protein, accounting for 515% of the mixture. The salt content of fishmeal should be calculated, and the content of fishmeal should not exceed 0.4% of the mixture.

Green feed

Green feed is mainly used to supplement vitamin deficiency, which can account for less than 30% of the mixture, various fresh green vegetables account for 20%-30% of the mixture, and green leaves such as Robinia pseudoacacia and Amorpha can account for 5%-10% of the mixture.

Mineral feed

Mineral feed mainly replenishes the deficiency of minerals in the mixture, which can account for 0.3% of the mixture. Bone meal is mainly supplemented with calcium and phosphorus, which can account for 1%-2.5% of the mixture. Shellfish powder mainly replenishes the deficiency of calcium, which can account for 10.7% of the mixture. Laying hens should be used more and other hens should use less. Salt mainly supplements the deficiency of sodium in the mixture, which often accounts for 0.3-0.4% of the mixture. The salt content of fish meal should also be taken into account.

Note: when configuring chicken feed, a small amount of gravel should be added, usually after the chicken is 1 month old, which can improve the feed utilization rate and account for 0.5% of the mixture.
